I agree with Minato though. Stuff isn't cheap, you just don't know how to deal with it yet. Marvel is all about being more stupid than your opponent, so being "cheap" is legit.

Ditto spamming.

Really that applies for any game that isn't an rpg. MMOs and thinks like Pokemon are the only thing that kinda break that rule. Mewtwo Vs Raichu lulz.

Tell me how you play with Chris. You play on xbox right? We can't play if you do, but give me Chris advice please.

I must admit I spam lasers and drones quite a bit.

But if my opponent if gonna back away the whole time then I gotta do whats best.

Usually after a Sent combo I'll back away and chip them out for the rest of their bar, then go in again when the fresh character arrives.

Unless of course it's a character I know I can't take on head to head, in that case I play keep away until I get an opening.

Chris Needs to have good teammates or else he's gonna fail.

Some assist that'll help Chris are Assist that Keep people away from him like.

Doom Hidden Missile
Akuma Tatsu
Dante Jam Session
Haggar Lariat
Ammy Cold Star
Tron Bonne Fire

You want to play as campy as ever with chris from Sj. Machine gun's to Short hop Magnum. Remember Magnum is the Strongest Non-Hyper projectile in the game and will win vs majority of the other projectiles. When your opponent is mid screen away drop down a L Grenade. Chris's Combo, do about 516k if done right. You have to practice the Magnum Tiger Knee combo's. Aka, L, M, H, -> H, S, m, m, h, S, TK-Magnum, Dash in H, S, m, m, h, S, OTG Down Heavy. Remember that Chris's Momentum during combo's will likely put people in the corner, and thats exactly where Chris wants his opponent's to be. Chris doesn't have a lot of options when people are constantly pressuring him. That's why his team is how he's gonna get those options. Be sure to pick people he can DHC or keep opponent's away.

Tips:

Always S.j Machine Gun, unless you're gonna use it to OTG in the Corner.
Magnum Beats A lot of projectiles. (Non Hyper ones)
Prone you're allowed to use an assist, and can crouch under projectiles like, Sent laser's, Magneto Disruptor and many more.
If your opponent is 2/3rd's a screen away Drop a L nade.
Cr.M is his fastest move in terms being in block stun. -> H is also fast but isn't generally safe.
Be very Aggro with Air grabs with Chris.
If you're using his Combination Punch assist be sure to use the Cross Over Combination Glitch after on OTG for quick damage. (This is when you have 1 bar after an OTG Shot, you can cancel the animation into Sweep Combo by using the Cross over comb method.)
Magnum Scales Damage by 0.86
If they're in the corner pressure with flame thrower, Fire nades, and unblockable set-ups.
Remember that when you Jump Down Heavy you won't be able to block till you land. Never Super Jump it unless you know you're gonna hit someone.

Basically the best thing to do with Chris is Chip, Chip, Chip

This game's balance problems are starting to seriously annoy the hell out of me. I think I might go back to SoulCalibur IV. At least I can load my characters up with equipment to even the odds there.

Lmfao, but you use Sentinel/Phoenix on the same team, Serris.

I guess he's tired of playing against people who know how to play against Pheonix and Sentinel or doesn't like that some characters counter these characters and labels it as "balance problems".

inb4 "Soul Calibur has a Brawl-like community that wants to see a single character (Hilde) banned."

inb4 "Wait, there's a Soul Calibur community?"

Oh, and inb4 "Soul Calibur IV is hilariously IMBA."

Go to tourneys. Get better. Like Lythium said, stop playing online so much.

No, I'm referring to little things like Amaterasu being able to spam the same move seven times with no significant hitstun deterioration. These sorts of things take no effort to do and give too much reward for too little input. And frankly, you have no business acting "holier than thou" when you openly claim you suck at the game and got just as frustrated with it at one point as I am now.

Also don't forget that the SC4 community got a character banned (Algol) that isn't even as bad as Hilde.

He got over it, though. Made peace with it. Hell, Twists wasn't even HALF as vocal as you're being when he was (quote, unquote) frustrated. Most of his dirty laundry was aired prior to the game's release.

It's understandable that you're frustrated, Serris. It really is. Them's the breaks tho'. There's frustrating little nuances in every fighting game. You either put up with it or you don't.

*facepalm.*

I totally forgot about that. Yeah, that was silly.

Drama?

Wait, what move is this? And what other stuff is there that's making you hate the balance?
And this is MvC3. Everything in this game is high reward with little input.

LOL wut???????????????????????????????

I never got frustrated with this game, I just can't get into it, I think you're starting to see the reasons why I think it sucks. You can't get frustrated with a game you never play.

And the only time I got angry at this game was about a week before the game came out about the game being easy and scrubby (and then Gates ***** me even though i happend to be right for the most part).

Just play Marvel 2 like me. :bee:

I think I'm done practicing with this game. I actually think it's kinda fun, but I dunno. I don't feel like wanting to practice and get better.
I'm going back into MvC2 and some other fighters for now.

I know what you mean. Marvel's one of those games where it's hard to see why you lose and find out what you need to do to get better. I still have that problem in MvC2.

As for easy characters, Wolverine and Sentinel are pretty easy and go well together.

I finally played MvC3 last night for a loooooong time. I mostly used MODOK, Morrigan, Phoenix.

Amaterasu's height+ice bullets is fun to abuse, but pisses me off on the recieving end!
Phoenix is really, really fun.
Flight feels terrible in this game, it looks like the only reason I ever did it was to use more airdashes and cancel specials (Shadow Blade all dai).
MODOK feels good, maaaan. j.S seems really good. His zoning feels really weak though, especially against Amaterasu!
I swear Morrigan says, "****ing dodge this," when she uses her missile super.

I've been practicing my teams and I when I want to play against other players in this thread, I learn that most people here have either quitted or are thinking of quiting.

...

I'm gonna sell my MvC 3 copy and buy MK9. >_>
