Job 81: Submit a character from a game with a futuristic or dystopian setting.
So far we've got a decent mix of newcomers but I think we could do more with some futuristic characters
Isaac - Fantasy Medieval
Bandana Dee, Waluigi, Crash(?), Barista - Mix
Octoling - Futuristic/Dystopian
Stylist, Jill, Leon - Modern
Medusa - Fantasy Medieval/Classical

Hmm, I wonder who you could have in mind for this prompt. Quite the mystery I must say.

What we need is Zero for smash, that's the person we need for this category, or if your open for a joke fighter ala ROB or Game and Watch we could use the virtual boy from those commercials

I mean if Virtual Boy was the next smash fighter in this thread we already have a good reveal trailer to parody and some moveset potential revolving around red lights all those terrible game peripherals like the U force (possible down smash) or the Power Glove (that can be its forward smash)

subtlety is for losers . submit a prompt about a netflix character who is based on a konami video game series that is known for inspiring an entire genre
Yo, can we get a non-human female primate child character with a pink beret, long ponytail, and gliding ability who was created by a game studio now owned by Microsoft but is herself owned by Nintendo and is known for playing the guitar and chewing bubblegum?

I was joking If Virtual Boy was into smash he would fit the post apocalypse category due the commecials for the thing essentially making it into some terrifying terminator, it could become some sort of mechanical abomination

Add a JRPG guy with a sword. That's it, that's the prompt. I can't say any more.

A character that's an old school character, either a character that mainly appeared in a game from the 80s or 90s (game and watch, Ness) or a old peripheral (ROB)

Job #81

Submit a character with "no moveset potential" that we can create an entirely original moveset for.

Captain Falcon, Fox, Ice Climbers, R.O.B., Little Mac - what do these guys (and one gal) have in common? They do only one or two things in their games of origin so Smash made stuff up. That's the sort of moveset I'm thinking of. Some examples of characters who could get this treatment are:

Virtual Boy
Kuru Kuru Kururin
Magikarp
Giegue
Qbby
A lot of generic enemies
Most of the WarioWare and black box NES characters
Thanks for acknowledging my great Virtual Boy for Smash idea

The Licker artwork is probably from Operation Raccoon City (judging from the lighting)

We will now proceed with voting for the prompt from which we will submit a character to become a newcomer. That was a mouthful.

Please vote for your top three. In previous voting sessions, I limited personal votes to the last choice which awarded one point. That being said, considering the job’s prompt, I decided to allow the first place vote to be a personal vote. This means you can vote for your own submission for your first choice (which garners 3 points).

Please don’t abstain from voting for the 2 other prompts. You must vote for three prompts in order for your vote to be counted.

A Character from a Nintendo DS Game

Guys... I hate to be a contrarian - actually no, I love to be a contrarian - but what Switch-exclusive games can even be pulled from? The only newcomers I can think of from Switch exclusives are Rabbid Peach, the Stretchers, and Officer Howard - only one of which I can really see as a unique, viable pick (the rabbit)
