Thanks for letting me know. How likely will Carlos let you use his laptop to run Tio on? There is a chance I will let you use mine but ask Carlos first. I do not have Tio on my laptop at the moment. :( Where should I download it? :)

and huy, if Carlos doesn't let me use his laptop, and I can't find access to another comp., I will waive $1-$2 off your venue fee if you let me use yours lol.

Wait I read your post wrong. I think Andrej is coming due to the move of the midterm date. :) I must have confused "even if Andrej is not coming" with "Andrej is not coming." Glad to here both Anthony and Andrej can come. :) I got mindgamed. :(

Also why only waive $1-$2? Why not the full $3? :)

I can bring my 30inch tv (its in IV right now) but I'm going to need some help bringing it over, its heavy as crap.

You interested Dante? It would be nice to have like.. at least one large TV to play on :D

there is one next to the coffee stand outside the computer labs. You know, the one next to Buchanan hall.
there's also one next to the bus roundabout.

How many days in advance do I have to pull this off in order to qualify for the discount? Also now that I have thought about it, people who learn about the tournament by means of flyers and not through Smash Boards are probably not competitive players so having a lot of non-competitive players at the tournament will probably waste time. :(

Dante, what is your opinion on this? Well the advantage is there will be more money in the pot I guess. :)

Yeah and bringing more players to the competitive scene is always a good thing. Sb could always use more players instead playing the same 5 ppl over and over.

Edit: and to save time we just need ppl to bring setups.

So if you said that you only had 5 people to play with, what are the 6 "mainstream UCSB players" according to your opinion? :chuckle: Would it be something the long the lines of yourself, Dante, Josh, David, Andrej, and I? (What about Anthony and David (DrAwesome)? ;)

I actually told Caleb this before but last year I found out about the tournament 45 minutes before registration ended and then I rushed to the LPC with 25 minutes left to spare to sign up. Maybe we can get Anthony and both Davids to help us with the flyers since we all live in different parts of the campus so we are all spread out. :) If we do this then I guess I won't get the full venue fee waiver since there were other people helping me. :)

I have to volunteer to grade MathCounts competitions on Saturday afternoon, so I won't be able to make it unless the tournament starts after 3 or so. If I do make it (and somehow find a ride), I can bring 2 setups.

I don't think I am going to Smash Club tonight. If you are going to Smash Club, can you remind Anthony to send out an email message to all of the members of the Smash Club about the tournament on 2-6-10, Dante?

Hi, I'm new to the forums (but not to smash).
Could you give me info on the UCSB smash bros club? I'm a student at UC and definitely didn't know there was a smash club...I'd really like to get in on that action
