Brawl itself is mostly mind games. Then theres buffering and fast falling. Depending on the character you use, depends on combos and tricks you can do to other players.

Ok MAJOR update


The Lone Star Circuit (LSC) has been cancelled. Denti/Sanji (batou) were the two TOs that were going to do the Dallas event (April) but both of them have failed to hold up their end of the bargain. Losing one (maybe two, july) events and one major city basically makes this circuit pointless. So, the LSC is now a "Road to WHOBO" or "Path to WHOBO" or "HighWay to WHOBO" or whatever you wanna call it.

The schedule for the Road to WHOBO will be slightly altered and the championships (now known as WHOBO 5) will be much different.


Changes to the schedule:

April- Who's Tyler?
May- HOBO 40
June- NikeFest 55
July- Revolution 14 (if they get their act together in the next 2.5 months)
August- HOBO 41
September- no events. save money. get caught up in school.
October- WHOBO 5

Changes to the championships/whobo 5:

Last years LSC championships, we had pro bracket/AM bracket but since this is now a WHOBO, im doing away with that crap. The LSC points you get at each event will stop (luckily we only gave out point at ONE event so far) as well.

WHOBO 5 events/times/dates/prices and thread will be made within a week.

TOs (Mr.GW [april] Nike [june] and i hope Denit [july?]) who are running events for the Road to WHOBO series, PLEASE MAKE YOUR THREADS ASAP. When people wait, bad things happen.

m2k mk has reached the highest lvl of gay (assuming he wants to do it) and infinity's isnt gay at all. this means your style is in the middle but at super low levels?

My MK resembles Inifinity by mostly doin basic meta game stuff(ftilts and Nados can ya dig) but I also play like m2k in campy MU's(like snake) which means I camp and when I land a hit I go for the combo and retreat again

Hey all,



Just wanted to drop a reminder in about the event this weekend in Lindale. We will start taking tournament signups and venue fees at 11am on Saturday until 1:30pm, at which point signups for ALL tournaments will be closed. If you're not in line to pay at 1:30pm, you will more than likely not get to play in a tournament ... so if you are coming from out of town, make sure to arrive promptly so you can pay your venue fee and entry for any tournaments you wish to enter.



Venue fee is $5, and if you bring a setup that fee is waived (to be clear, a setup is the following things: a monitor for a HD console and/or a complete setup with monitor/tv and a console. Tournament entries are $5 for everything except for Brawl and Project M teams, Brawl and Project M teams are $10 a team (or $5 a person).



Here's the list of games that will have tournaments this weekend:

Super Street Fighter IV Arcade Edition (XBox 360)

Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 (XBox 360)

Tekken Tag Tournament 2 (Playstation 3)

Super Smash Bros Brawl (Nintendo Wii)

Project M (Nintendo Wii)

ALL tournament games (save for the winners/losers/grand finals) will be best 2 out of 3 games. The finals of each game (along with the Marvel tournament in general) will be best 3 out of 5 games.



We will be selling candy, sodas (Dr. Pepper/Mountain Dew) and Monster Energy drinks on Saturday as well (these prices will be announced at the event). We also will be selling halves of pizza for $5.



Payouts will be different this time, instead of 70/20/10 it will be 60/30/10.

Here is the story in which we all can learn a thing or two.


Back in 2005, a very large black man by the name of Dee and a tall beefy white man by the name of Lex decided to have a burger eating contest on their morning radio show. The rules were simple: first person to eat 22 burgers (that's all that 25$ would buy them) was declared the winner. If you fast forward a bit, Lex had just finished his 21st burger but Dee was having MAJOR difficulty starting his 18th burger. As Dee sat there complaining about the pain in his tummy, listeners began to call up during the contest and taunted him by calling him "whiny." Even his own friend Kim called him a "sissy." With pain in his tummy and rage in his eyes, Dee delivered a magical 30 second motivational speech that paved the way for his victory. After his speech, Dee came back to the table andmiraculously ate 4 burgers in the time it took Lex to eat his own final burger......thus declaring Dee the winner.
