Great news! This can definitely help get the Smash scene more out into the world.

I've added this thread to the Featured Topics. Hope you don't mind, but I also changed the title slightly to make it more text-friendly for the box up there.

Thanks!

Its not just a melee thing, as all smash game streamers are welcome to join. =]

EDIT: Some people expressing concerns about Brawl...but there arent many Brawl streamers, and we have a priority listing thing that we can play around with to promote the channels that are the most interesting.

Thank you, but be sure to thank twitch.tv (Fishstix in particular) and their unrelenting support of competitive gaming communities big and small! Smash streams have had an inordinately small amount of twitch's total viewership, but they have always listened to me and cared more than any small community like ours could ever hope for.

You didn't add me to the smash group on twitch.tv because I was lagging?

I tested it myself and I'm definitely not lagging, so you probably have a connection problem.

EDIT: I stream both Melee and 64 and I can 100% guarantee you that when I stream SSBM it doesn't lag.

http://www.twitch.tv/kingfunk/b/307576765 -> 64 stream archive (skip to any part)

It was lagging. I spend hours each day streaming and perfecting other's streams. (BTW your internet speed has nothing to do with your computer's ability to encode live.) and my penis is bigger.

But like I said your channel has been added to www.twitch.tv/team/smashbros

That's so legit! Hopefully this will promote our large but underground community and give it the popularity it deserves!

If the video doesn't get corrupted, as in the image becomes pixellated and motion vectors move currupted image where real image should be moved, THEN you have a connection problem.
If the video simply lags, frames are dropped etc, it's either the viewer's GPU that's too slow to render flash video (flash sucks), or the streamer's software that is dropping incoming frames. The latter is what happened a lot at Apex.

A top 10 list or something for those who play smash often as well as people who do sometimes being more accessible plus a featured stream would be amazing on the page. The place to go fro every tourney being streamed.
I also must refer to leffen's post, do that.

As for melee and Brawl...I'd rather have two pages exactly alike, th eonly difference being which game is shown more.

There are featured streams. And the pages are kindof ranked by popularity, and when multiple ones are online featured streams will be first. If there are no featured streams online then they are ranked by viewer count.

I'm not putting anything about smashboards on the team page while I have my smashboards stream promotion privileges removed without warning or reason.

I know what happened and considering you spear headed this you have every right to do so. This is somehting that would get a regular person privileges let alone someone who already deserved and had them.

GG anyways, I have a way to entertain myself.

Submit a complaint to Forum Support. Someone will answer.

Removing SWF from the Smashbros Team Page is counterproductive and you know it.

I submitted a complaint, they said that it might be because I wasn't supposed to stream Project:M, but I was never warned about it. MLG_JV was the one who ordered me to be removed, so they wanted to hear what he had to say, but it has been a month and nobody has heard from him in that time.

Now nobody has done anything and they aren't answering my posts in the complaint thread anymore. I am in a Guantanamo Bay situation where I am unjustly punished for an indefinite amount of time. If you want to PM someone (mic 128 maybe) to get them to stop this then that would be great.

Keep in mind that I'm not removing SWF from the page, they were never involved. The paranoia they apparently have about smash mods (we are not allowed promote Project:M streams thru the livestream editor stuff) means that I should probably not involve them with something that will certainly feature Project: M streams.

oops, I copied the wrong link.

Will the chat for each stream be able to be put on the smashbros page sometime in the near future? Or do we have to click on their name to be taken directly to their stream page so we can chat?

:phone:
Like I said, this is in the works.
