yes yoshi can avoid ASC but its fairly easy to force ppl to shield in this game, and shielded ASC=free grab

1) I already explained my reasons for making that statement. It was an exaggeration. His Sonic is not terrible.
2) His Sonic is not good. Show documented evidence of him placing well by using Sonic throughout the whole tournament.
3) Do you play Sonic? If not, I suggest you STFU. You have no right to determine if his Sonic can 3-stock me. Not without knowing certain aspects of said character.
(A) YOU FREAK D: you ENJOY defending your character? lolol
(B) That's not true ><; There are still sucky Sonic players about. Maybe a bunch of people from this community may be somewhat good, but the ones disconnected from our development can still suck. And even so, there are still ... fresh ... entrants that don't know just how far behind they are.
(C) Shield the ASC, spotdodge the grab. But like I said, good Yoshi's will usually go for a rPG unless against projectiles.

1. im actually loving and embracing my characters tier list placement. read the first post.
2. the vids ive seen of anther is not what sonic is capable of, he knows that and we know that.
3. he already apologised and admitted that he was wrong, read the post above yours.
4. anther still mains pika, so i dont know if you were talking about sonic, or pika, but anthers sonic aint 3 stocking nobody around here...
5. the sonic forums are arguably the most productive board on this entire forum. the fact that we have a stigma perpetuated by things that happened 3 months ago and memphis chains. means next to nothing.

Don't bother arguing for Sonic, he isn't going anywhere no matter what you do. There's also no point in agruing match-ups, he gets ***** anyway

I just watched Anther's Sonic vs Monkeys videos, and yeah, he's a really good player.
Noone will contest that. His reading and edgeguarding/airdodge punishments were beautiful.
But there were just some times that he could have avoided some 'wasted' movements (like having to jump>U-air out of the spindash roll because he was doing an ASC out of a double jump or something) if he had used some spin cancels ;p
It's kind of like watching a Diddy Kong have 2 bananas out but only rarely use them to flow moves into each other, but win using superior play (reading/punishing) then saying that it reflects the character at maximum potential ;l

Hay, mind if I point out some things that can help you out? lol
on the first video:
2:29-2:30 - if you held shield, you could have shield cancelled that landing after you left the platform instead of having to jump out of it. That's ASC cancelling ;d
3:29 - when you F-air to KO, hold backwards (so it's harder for them to DI to get sent backwards) or just start the F-air earlier. Or just use N-air lol
3:35 - Sonic F-air > MK side-B

I'll be watching/picking out things for the 2nd vid, so have fun trying to not doublepost again. And yeah, I'm totally in support of you getting better quicker with Sonic >_>

AND WTF I TOLD YOU ALL, this is just like X,
everybody in here said that sonic goes 50-50 with falco. I however said that falco can outrange him close and camp him to death at range. and so far, X has lost the last, what, 4 tourneys in a row to his little bros falco.
I was the one who said that marth/sonic was 50-50 even though everyone else says that marth is practically a sonic hard counter.
why the hell would anther play sonic specifically against marth if the match was as bad as you people say it was.
that should basically make me the god of the sonic boards at this point.

Oh yeah. I totally didn't know about the shield canceled spinshots till after that tourney... and omg BLEW MY MIND. XD.

i have always learn to respect low tier players, because if you don't then your going to get 1000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000 of flame comments eve nfrom a Sonic main.

0:11 - you did a down-B from off-stage. Then you ended up having to avoid this grenade, and you caught another grenade and that just ... well it hurt. If you released the down-B and held shield as you landed, then you wouldn't have had to go through that. ;l
0:21 - Same thing, except this time, he made you pick up a grenade (LOL). If you shield cancelled in front of him, you could have gotten a grab, and Sonics all over the internet would be cheering for you.
0:46 - LOL THAT WAS COLD. Just saying. It was great lol. I would have gone for an edgehog, but that was pretty.
2nd stock was played well. Side-B before double jump could open up more recovery options/range for you though. I can't complain about it though, you made it back, and that's what matters.
2:06 - better use of side-B's charge cancel :D
I think in general, use your Homing Attacks higher. They're coming in at awkward angles so they don't 'fall' into Snake and you end up being landinglagged.
2:57 - another potential shield cancel > reverse grab.
3:16 - I know you like double jumps. I like it too. Be careful of starting spindashes when you don't have double jumps D: If you had jumped out of that first and then restarted a spindash, you could have avoided the suicide.
3:21 - This isn't so much a 'bad habit' thing to fix as a... well, you could have B-aired lol.
Yeah. I think, basically, you need some better usage of the specials ;p
I like how you kinda 'trap' the Snake into a 'will get hit' situation when he's going for the ledge - if he airdodges, he's screwed, so instead, you get a free hit. Nice boat.

youre a "pro" youre supposed to be an example for the nubs, and even YOU dont read the stickeys....
i promise you that if you read the stickeys(especially the ones in the thread index guide), your sonic will get better than you thought possible without even playing the game.

Whoa! I wasn't expecting all that. lol, thanks TenkTenk. I def should do some reading up on his specials.. though I do think the best way to figure out all the little suicide traps is to go head and kill myself a couple hundred more times XD.

but yea, your have to kill your self a minimum of like 100 times, at least 10 in tourney before you can be good with sonic... lol its a rule.
