This is a message to everyone who was involved with the trip to Orlando. Before we get started, you should really take note on the expenses section, and the team builder. This is a 5 day trip. Singles are being held on Friday April 16th, and and Saturday, April 17th. Doubles is being held on Sunday, April 18th. It is very important that we get there on Thursday, and be at the venue between 10:30 and 3:00 on Friday.

It is very important to bring a Photo I.D, and A consent form if you are under the age of 18 (Consent Form only applies to ADHD). If you do not have a consent formand you are under the age of 18, you will be denied to compete or play at the venue, even if you payed. Photo I.D is also mandatory for Everyone.

People Who Are Going

Riddge (iRJi)
Wyatt (ADHD)
Rob (Rookie)
D1 (D1)
Brian (BSC)
Dan (Pierce)
Steve (Que)

Our Drivers for this trip are Brian and Que. D1 has also offered to drive if nessesary, which we are very thankful for =].

Seating Chart

On logical terms, I really don’t have one. This is free willed, and you can sit where you feel fit. The only exception is between me, D1, Que and Brian, we must be rotating easily in and out of the vehicle. In order to do this, we must have access to the first row of the car, the 2nd row, and/or the the 3rd row that is open to go into the 2nd row (the spot that you walk threw to get to the far back seats). Let these people take their seats first, and then everyone else can fill in the spots that are not taken.(mainly, I will be taking the front seat since I will have the GPS, but I do not have an issue giving it up for someone if the problem will arise).

Expenses For Everything (ZB.2)

Here is the list of everything and roughly how much it is going to cost.
Note: This is only estimates, but these estimates are very, very accurate. These numbers are higher than anticipated because we have to be there a day earlier than expected.

Car Rental: $ 501.63/7 = $72.00 total (This is for all 5 days combinded)

MPG estimate: 20~
Amount of Miles: 1111.30 * 2 = 2222.60
Total Gas fee : 298.44/7 = $43.00

Hotel: 125 a night * 5 = $625.00/7= $90.00 in total for 5 days @ $18.00 a night

Food (Varries on person): bring at least $60.00 for food. It’s just to be safe so no one gets hungry.

MLG ticket singles = $35.00 ( You haveto pay online, and you MUST pay on your own. Do not let people try to buy you a ticket, Expect doubles to be around the same fee)

Tolls (Per person) $20.00 – $30.00

Optional: Crew shirts: $30.00 person
_______________________

TL:DR Version

Car: $72.00 A person
Gas: $43.00 A person
Hotel: $90.00 A person
Food: $60.00 A person
MLG ticket Singles: $35.00 A person
MLG Ticket Doubles: TBA
Tolls: $20.00-$30.00 A person
Shirts: $30.00 A person

Total = $350.00-$360.00 w/ T-shirts
320.00-330.00 w/o T-shirts

Keep in mind this total is not adding doubles fee. Doubles will most likely be 35 a person, or ½ of 35 which is 18. Assuming max number if you add doubles will be $395.00

Believe it or not, this is still A LOT cheaper then trying to get down there yourself and stay at a hotel on your own. If you were to take a plane, you will be spending about $100.00 more if you were to split all other expenses, and if you were to try to do this alone, you will be spending a far bigger number (Approx: $400.00 or more)

Tips and things to keep in mind (ZB.3)
1) Prepare for you rides to the destination about 2 or 3 weeks in advance of the event.
By doing this early, you have enough time to get everything organized, and have time to fix any problems that may occur. This happens less for airplane rides, since if something goes wrong due to weather conditions or things of that sort, this is almost out of your hands unless you refund your ticket and plan another day to arrive. For car transportation, this tip is vital.

2) Try to get to the destination at least a day in advance before the event.
While arriving to early may cost a little bit of extra money, it can help to know your surrounding area. Trying to cut too close to the deadline can cost you a lot of time if anything goes wrong. Like tip 1, this gives you enough time to fix anything if something happens to go wrong.

3) Bring Pocket warmers.
I learned this the hard way overtime. Even if the surrounding area is hot, the air conditioner is turned up more then the average person needs to stay cool to account all of the people in the venue, and for all of the machines that are running inside of the venue (Xbox 360s, PS3's Wii's, PC's, and TV's are all running at the same time) Since so much is running, they need to keep everything cool so nothing malfuntions or over heats. Playing a video game while your hands are cold is very hard to do. Keeping small and light gloves, or pocket warmers, as well as a very light hoodie, can make or break you for this tip.

Pocket warmers look like this, and they are very cheap.

http://www.walgreens.com/store/cata...=G&ec=frgl_&ci_src=14110944&ci_sku=sku3675409

You can pick them up at almost any mini store, Target, Walgreens, etc.

4) Bring extra food!!!!

This one is almost a no brainer, but for a reason you may not expect. Since MLG is normally located in an high populated area, all of the prices tend to go up. While some of the people who read this don't mind spending the extra 1$ for a bottle of water, others may. Overall it saves so much more money if you bring food yourself, instead of getting it at the location the event is being held.

5) Eat breakfast, and stay away from high energy drinks.

The first part of this is a given, but the energy drink thing almost kills me when I see people use it so much. Since it will be running all day, using energy drinks for the majority of the time ends up hurting you more then helping you. Please, drink some juice, water, and don't eat so heavy through out the day, and you will have energy to last all day and night without an energy drink.

6) Get a good night sleep.

On average, we as smashers will stay awake to get the extra practice. Just remember that
the normal average person needs 8 hours of sleep. Getting 7 hours also is a good number. Try to keep your sleep between 7 and 9. If you sleep to little you will be tired, and the same thing happens if you sleep too much.

7) Take a shower, and wear deodorant.

This one is because I feel it is a necessity to say. Every event someone smells, or someone does not take a shower before going to the venue. Please, to the sake of every one else health, and for your own, clean up before going to the venue.

8) Bring Extra money.

This is one of the most important things that you need to do. Keeping about 30$ extra in emergency money is always a safe way to go about things. You never know when something can come up.

9) Travel with your friends, or with your crew members

Going alone may be fun, but going as a group of friends, or your crew members can make the event more pleasurable. When you travel in groups, you naturally will feel more conformable because you are now not the only person who is sharing the same experience. It also helps if you need someone to rely on.

10) Have fun

Although it is a competition, it is still a game. We all want to win, but at the same time enjoy your self. You as a human can always improve, so take everything as a learning experience, and from that build yourself to be a better player.

I hope all of these tips will come in handy for you all. Let's make our first MLG event one of the most memorable things of SSBB.

8. 7th Technical Foul = Site Ban from the GameBattles website for 30 days
9. 8th Technical Foul = Site Ban from the GameBattles website for an additional 60 days
10. 9th Technical Foul = Site Ban from the GameBattles website for an additional 120 days or the remainder of the calendar year, whichever is longer
11. 10th Technical Foul = Competition Ban for the next Combine Competition and Pro Circuit Competition
12. After the 10th Technical Foul, each subsequent Technical Foul will result in a Competition Ban for an additional Combine Competition and Pro Circuit Competition.
13. Halo 3 Players who receive three Technical Fouls for one Match will be given a one minute Penalty. After three Technical Fouls, each subsequent Technical Foul in the Match will result in another one minute penalty. Halo 3 Players receiving a one minute penalty will be instructed by a Referee to put their controller on the ground at the start of their next Game. After one minute has passed, the Referee will instruct the Player that they may pick up their controller.
14. SSBB Players who receive three Technical Fouls for one Match will be given a one Stock penalty at the start of their next Game. After three Technical Fouls, each subsequent Technical Foul in the Match will result in another one Stock penalty. After three Technical Fouls, each subsequent Technical Foul in the Match will result in another one Round penalty. 16. One minute, one Stock, and one Round penalties, if necessary, will carry from one Match to the next or one Pro Circuit Competition to the next. If a penalty is carried from one Pro Circuit Competition to the next, it will be carried by the Player who received the Technical Fouls. Players who fail to follow their Referee’s directions regarding a one minute, one Stock, or one Round penalty may be subjected to further punishment such as disqualification from an Event, ejection from the venue, a Temporary Ban from the MLG website, a Site Ban from the GameBattles website, loss of Pro Player benefits, fines, and a Competition Ban for future Combine Competitions and/or Pro Circuit Competitions.

1. More detailed rules regarding what controllers are allowed at events will be posted as the information becomes available.

2. A Photo ID
A driver's license is not required, a school ID or something similar is allowed. This is more important if you are a spectator, as it is used when you check-in to receive a spectator pass (If you purchased a Spectator Pass through the MLG Store online)

3. Signed Media Release and Parental Consent Form ( if under 18, 19 in Alabama and Nebraska )
If you are under 18, you will need to have a Media Release and Parental Consent form signed by your parent or legal guardian. If you are over 18, you need to sign a copy of the Media Release form and have it with you at check-in. You cannot compete if you don't have these.

There is no minimum age requirement to compete in an MLG event.

4. A copy of the Event Schedule
MLG releases a schedule before each event of when each round will start. Although it is subject to change, any changes to the schedule are announced and you can edit the schedule you brought accordingly. This way you know if you have time to go eat, or what time to tell your parents/friends/fans you will be playing next.

5. Know the Rules
I have seen coaches lose their coach pass due to taunting the other team, or communicating with spectators. I have seen spectators asked to leave a station due to coaching the team from outside the ropes. I have seen teams have to replay a game that they won only to lose it the second time because they did not listen to the station Referee. I have seen teams get multiple technicals in the same game (game, not series) because they did not read or understand the rules before the event. There is a referee at every station that will enforce the rules, it is your responsibility to know them and to understand them. If you are unsure what a rule is, ask your stations referee. Ignorance of a rule is not a valid excuse for breaking it.

9. YOUR WRISTBAND/EVENT PASS
When you check-in to the event, whether you are a competitor, a spectator picking up a pass, or a spectator purchasing a pass, you will be given a wristband with either "Player", "Coach", or "Spectator" on it. DO NOT LOSE THIS! You are not allowed in the venue without this and if you lose it you will not be issued a replacement. If you are a coach and you lose it, that means you will not be able to coach your team, and will not be allowed inside the ropes during the competition, if you are a spectator, you will have to purchase another pass. Please, for ease of security and referees, keep your pass clearly visible on your wrist. Do not remove it and put it in your pocket/bag.

I know this doesn't matter to me, but why are you renting a car?
Cost comes down to be cheaper per person. A ticket to Orlando comes out to be between 200$ per person if you are to order it about 2 months in advance. It cost more if it is ordered in less time. with 7 people splitting the cost for a car, it will only take you almost 1/2 the amount. Saves a lot of money.

I meant why are you renting a car instead of taking a car Que or Brian already owns?

I'll try to hit up Jersey Early July when I have a week off. It was great seeing everyone. Brian if you ever wanted to see any of your game ideas fleshed out feel free to send me a message i'd be more than happy to try to throw something together.

Whoops, Ecuador, my bad. I asked someone which country it was, and got the wrong answer i guess =X

Dang, two months? We'll have to play a lot before and after your trip.

That sounds really cool Jordan, I'll try to think of some ideas for a small project that would be manageable. Riddge and Steve mentioned earlier this year that they'd be interested in doing art for something down the line. It wouldn't be too difficult to round out a small team from there. It'd be good for all of our portfolios at the very least. Definitely keep in touch about this
