Epic also made it out of pools at APEX. More than can be said for.... every sonic main except MalcolM..... He's a pretty good player but he really doesn't know the Sonic matchup very well. I think he beat Anti in an MK ditto in pools too.

I realise his marth may look kinda bad. its odd, W150 is normally quite good and beats me sometimes with his mains, he went marth, because marth is really good in B+ so yeah :/ we both had never played brawl + before the tourney btw lol

At least you didn't post a video of you 3 stocking some guy then tell people to critique it. I don't usually like giving advice, but I noticed you used neutral b to recover almost every time. It's okay to mix it up and throw this in there especially if you think they're expecting you to airdodge into the ground, but don't spam it cause it gets real predictable and it's REALLY punishable.

Also, why did they restart the match after sonic SD'd then not restart after TL SD'd?

but that being said, try not to spindash much, it's verrry punishable, it's good to punish but not approach.

Yeah... I can never shield cancel (has never worked for me, I'm that much of a noob) , which is why I jump cancel instead.
I'm never gonna stop using Sonic, he's too awesome.... Don't worry about being mean, I asked for critique so I expect it.... I still don't understand fully the spindashed, and WTf stealing jump data is....

We restarted because..... I suck.....

I'll upload videos of me losing, I just wanted to bother TWiNK since he didn't / still hasn't uploaded any videos of me VS. him....

There's a reason why I didn't upload them, but that's not the point. I feel like writing a critique for you.

I'm not going to say anything about predictability, since i've played 300+ matches with you, and I already know your play style. I don't know much about Sonic's moveset (in my eyes, all attacks make him do a rolly thingy) so just bare with my terminology for a minute.

Something that I always notice is that usually when you charge up a spin, it's pretty guaranteed that you are going to rush me, so instinctively, I toss a projectile to stop you on your tracks. There are times when you jump away at last minute, or just stop rolling to me, but you don't do it often. You don't always have to rush, especially at a campy character like Toon Link. At the same time, you can't stay back for so long, because then you will be giving me time to set up projectile traps. You have to remain at close or mid range, 1) because you don't have any long range projectiles to fight back with, and 2) at close range, I can't spam projectiles effectively (even though I try anyways).

Now when you are at close range, you can't be using your B attacks often, because they have a predictable set path, and characters can shield/dodge those attacks with relative ease. Not only that, but missing is easy to punish (like TL's grab). Use your A attacks, since they are swifter, rack up a lot of damage, and are overall trickier to get around. Oh, and Jugmo says spam Fair and Uair.

So yeah, for the TL;DR people, don't run straight into my projectiles, yet, don't stray too far from me. Learn better approaches. Also, use attacks that aren't that punishable. Learn all the little AT's and tricks that Sonic may have, and find ways to use them effectively. Mix it up a bit as well. Mindgames are fun.

And just to set the record straight, I quit out of a couple of matches too. It's not just him.

infzy first match... how come you never used spinshot to recover? that would have saved you soooo much damage.
