Um..I am currently undefeated on ladder..10-0..I have a score of 1494...I quit the ladder though...

A bunch of kids with bad sportsman ship and other stuff..Just read my blog though..

Although for the summer singles,I was also the highest ranked kirby sitting at 31 wins and 4 losses...

Deg is playing rock band 2 atm..talked to him today.

Check me out here.. http://www.allisbrawl.com/profile.aspx?id=1413

you can check out some old videos of me as well from an online tourney with deg back when i was super noob as well :)

I ranked 3rd in that tourney and I was only a newb then =D i've gotten alot better since..

I also need some new videos as well..
Wow...o_o

I apparently need to step my AiB game up. ^^; Being able to only play on weekends doesn't help at all (No johns). =)

wifi sucks :'(

You don't realize it until you play at an offline tourney, and then go back to wifi. Then again, I was playing TwilightKirby, and I dunno if his internet is amazing, but he lives far away.

People with good connection don't suck quite as much.

And I pwn jtowns for breakfast, lunch, and dinner :p

This thread is turning into an egofest though, something must be done!

Alright I guess I'll throwdown on some ego stroking too. My offline tourney performance in Florida:

April/May - 13th at a 128 person tourney
April/May - 17th at a 100 person tourney
April/May - 9th at a 128 person tourney

September - 5th at a 64 person tourney

I've only played in 4 tourneys. I started to dislike brawl in May and quit until this month when I gave it another try.

Hey, I really don't mean to stroke my ego...smileystation just said to give all the credentials we have...sorry if i come off as arrogant, I don't mean to. I'm no god by any means. my ladder rank on AiB is just the only thing I have to prove my skill, so i provided it.

Although for the summer singles,I was also the highest ranked kirby sitting at 31 wins and 4 losses...
listen man, i'm not trying to start anything, or be arrogant, im just stating the facts. I was the highest ranked kirby on the summer ladder, not you. My record was 30-9, which was apparently not as good as yours, but I still had higher skill. No other kirby main finished in the top 64. And I have the AiB badge to prove that I finished in the top 64.

Again, I'm NOT trying to be an ***. I'm NOT even claiming to be better than you. I'm just stating the facts.

All i'm saying is, don't brag about something you didn't do.

I left the ladder twice because two newbs lied in the summer singles about our matches, although I got the wins for them.I even have the messages to show for it and will show you my record back in July.I also have the proof I left and my 2 clan members tried to get me to do the fall singles and see how my luck was again this time around.

I even discussed it in my blog a bit.

If you want the messages i'm more than happy to show you.But don't try to say I didn't do these things because remember, there is a "Leave the Ladder" button.

I even got alot of praise for my record which is how a few more folks got to know me a bit more.If still had all my shoutouts from the summer months,I could also show you the people saying I have a nice ladder record and a good kirby.I even had people asking why did I leave with a record like that.

lol not to mention skill points aren't even a measure of your actual skill.Hell even if you lose a match against someone with more skill points than you,you still get points lol.

I say again,i'll be happy to give you the message :)

Also we still haven't did our dittos as well.

Ok, first of all, let me start off by saying that with my last post, I did not mean to be offensive, and if I was, I apologize. same goes for this response.

Next, I agree, ladder nubs lying about matches is very frustrating haha. It's only happened to me once, but I feel your pain. Also, I believe you about your rank being 31-4. I never said I didn't. So no need to show me the messages.

I got some praise through the ladder myself. After I beat perfectcell on the ladder but before cell deleted all his old blog entries, he had a blog titled "players who should be in the top 30 of the ladder, but aren't." I was on this list, and was the only kirby.

I know that was just straight up bragging lol, but you did this too so I thought I would say that you're not the only one with praise.

Also, skill points are the ONLY true way to determine someones skill, NOT their overall record.

You say if you play good players and lose, your skill will go up. This is true, but only between like 0 and 300 skill, at which point your skill is so low it doesn't even matter anyway.

Example: When I was ranked like 80th on this ladder with a skill in the mid 1500s, I played Jumpman (Ranked 3rd on the ladder with a skill of over 2100). I lost the set 2-1. And even though he's the 3rd ranked player, I still LOST points for losing. at high levels of competition, if you lose, you ALWAYS lose points.

Another argument leading to the same end: would you say Jinx101 is better than clouderz? No, he clearly is not. Yet Jinx is 56-0, and clouderz is 28-4. Clouderz, however, has more skill by more than 100. Why is this? Clouderz plays good opponents, and Jinx only challenges people he KNOWS he can win against. Hell, Jinx wont even accept a challenge from me. Skill points matter, not record.

Final example. ever played chromepirate? that guy is a total beast. last season he finished the ladder with a losing record because he plays great opponents. His skill was still in the 1600s.

Anyway, if you dropped the ladder...then that still means I finished above you, because you dropped. And if your argument is that you would have finished above me if you did not drop, then you need to prove yourself with your final skill points, not your final record. my final skill was 1700.

Also, I'm up for dittos whenever =) I'll keep an eye out for you in the free play room.

I have trouble taking the allisbrawl ladder seriously...I constantly hear about how Jinx only plays noobs, therefore he is now 56-0 and rank #3 on the ladder. I also lost to a Bowser yesterday. He was good, sure, but the only reason he won is because lag makes it impossible to dodge/block fsmashes in time -_-

You truly don't realize how much wifi sucks until you play a smashfest/tourney all weekend, and then have nothing to come back to but wifi.

Plus, it's a huge pain for me to go upstairs to my computer, find someone to play, go downstairs, add them, play, and then head back upstairs to report the score. And my parents got annoyed, to say the least, the first time I played a bunch of ladder games like that >_> wish I had a laptop..

No reason to argue when I KNOW I am the best Kirby out there. If you want to fight over second place though, that is fine with me.

I know that feeling. Getting beat by someone online when you know you would totally obliterate them offline. Like I can beat good Snakes with my Kirby when the connection is Green, or Blue, sometimes yellow. But I cant even beat an average skilled Snake when the connection is orange or red. I think some smart tech savvy people make their games lag on purpose to get the upper hand. Like they purposely put bit torrent on, just so they can spam and camp with a character that doesnt have such a great approach towards spam with lag = Kirby. Its why I quit Gamebattles, and do friendly matches more. Ever since then I got better, because you'll be spending more time fighting the same character for a bit, instead of just 2-3 matches with that character. And you'll learn how to counter that playstyle and character better.

So I'm guessing the new stereotype for Kirby mainers is gonna be that we're all cocky sooner or later.

Aw man, your one state away from me proving you wrong off line. DX

Oh well, I'll say this list is more like who is the best well known Kirby main that won a good amount of tournments in the US not who's the best Kirby in the..... world. You know what I mean right.

Everyone always wants to be the best. =/
And I think, for the most part, they're just kidding around.

heh. I met this guy in person, he's pretty cool. I can't tell if he's being seriously cocky or what o_o

Anyway, he beat me 2-1 in pools Kirby dittos, but BARELY. I would ensure that it would not be a repeat event next time.

After all, I learned not to underestimate wiimote users :urg:

Okay, I'll try to upload a few matches I have stashed. I'll try to include the one match were I hammer canceled.... to hammer. That sounds so stupid, omgggg.

Also, I think I may be able to make it to a tournament in October, so I'll try and do good, or something. <3

I'd say Kirby is probably one of the harder chars to play with online. He doesn't have any insanely cheap **** to fall back on like Snakes, Metaknights, and DDDs. His range is ok but nothing amazing. You basically have to oursmart ur opponent which is hard with all the delay. Kirby deals with the top tiers much better offline than online imo.

Um why did you just explain something I already knew..

What i'm saying is this little amount of skill points you have isn't telling you how good you are.Nor is your record.

Basically the only good people on the ladder are the same people small box of people who you've probably played friendlies with a good number of times.

You can't really tell how good you are by playing the same box of people.

I'm looking at the ladder now and it looks similar to last season, minus ally being in first and a few other ranks changed around...

imo,the top 30 im looking at now doesn't even get hard until the top 20.

but besides that i got a clan member in the top 30 :)

hah, i explained it because you said skill points dont matter, of course.

and yeah, i havent played enough matches yet for my skill points or record to truly indicate my skill, i agree. but i disagree about the "small box of opponents" thing. maybe for some people. but of my 32 matches on the ladder this year only like 4 of them have been people I had played before.

And saying the ladder doesn't get hard until the top 20...if you really think that then you are much better than me. Dannykat, CO18, Perfectcell, Melito, Bassem, and RenegadeTX2000 are all not even in the top 20.

and congrats on your clan member =]

I'd have to disagree. Maybe it's because I'm exponentially better with Kirby than I am with other characters, but I find Toon Link and Captain Falcon harder to play on wifi XD

Kirby just isn't effected by lag so much, in my opinion. You've got relatively fast and reliable attacks that are easy to pull off in lag. But I'm sure certain characters do better online. Like ones that can projectile spam...Snake, Meta Knight...I lost to a Bowser recently because lag WOULD NOT let me block/dodge fsmashes in time...

One good thing about Kirby is that it's hard to accidentally self destruct with him, though it can happen. Like recently I meant to grab and downthrow, but I was somehow pushed offstage, and for some reason it registered my Z input after I fell off the stage, and caused me to fastfall nair.

aka die

I dunno why sometimes Z causes me to airdodge, and sometimes causes me to attack >_>

Yah for sure there are worse online chars than Kirby lol.

I'm just saying hes much more disadvantaged than most of the top/high tier characters. While he can deal with most of them fine offline they have a much bigger advantage online. Like Snakes, Metaknights, DDDs and a bunch of other chars.

My bowser beat you because my bowser is better than your kirby, please dont john. We had a yellow connection, and I probably never even used Fsmash. I outspaced you and you should acknowledge that.

I might add that I beat you twice as well.
What? I wasn't talking about you. I haven't even played you for a while :/

oh....im really sorry. I just assumed since no one really plays bowser that it was me. >_>
The only Bowser I've lost to offline (okay, the only Bowser I've PLAYED offline) was Sliq. And dude, he's absolutely amazing. Have you heard of him? I lost to him like 5 games in a row, some of them were 2 stocks. And I always considered Kirby vs. Bowser to be like 99-1 in Kirby's favor.

Ok, maybe not that much, but you know what I mean.
