I left the ladder twice because two newbs lied in the summer singles about our matches, although I got the wins for them.I even have the messages to show for it and will show you my record back in July.I also have the proof I left and my 2 clan members tried to get me to do the fall singles and see how my luck was again this time around.
I even discussed it in my blog a bit.
If you want the messages i'm more than happy to show you.But don't try to say I didn't do these things because remember, there is a "Leave the Ladder" button.
I even got alot of praise for my record which is how a few more folks got to know me a bit more.If still had all my shoutouts from the summer months,I could also show you the people saying I have a nice ladder record and a good kirby.I even had people asking why did I leave with a record like that.
lol not to mention skill points aren't even a measure of your actual skill.Hell even if you lose a match against someone with more skill points than you,you still get points lol.
I say again,i'll be happy to give you the message
Also we still haven't did our dittos as well.
Ok, first of all, let me start off by saying that with my last post, I did not mean to be offensive, and if I was, I apologize. same goes for this response.
Next, I agree, ladder nubs lying about matches is very frustrating haha. It's only happened to me once, but I feel your pain. Also, I believe you about your rank being 31-4. I never said I didn't. So no need to show me the messages.
I got some praise through the ladder myself. After I beat perfectcell on the ladder but before cell deleted all his old blog entries, he had a blog titled "players who should be in the top 30 of the ladder, but aren't." I was on this list, and was the only kirby.
I know that was just straight up bragging lol, but you did this too so I thought I would say that you're not the only one with praise.
Also, skill points are the ONLY true way to determine someones skill, NOT their overall record.
You say if you play good players and lose, your skill will go up. This is true, but only between like 0 and 300 skill, at which point your skill is so low it doesn't even matter anyway.
Example: When I was ranked like 80th on this ladder with a skill in the mid 1500s, I played Jumpman (Ranked 3rd on the ladder with a skill of over 2100). I lost the set 2-1. And even though he's the 3rd ranked player, I still LOST points for losing. at high levels of competition, if you lose, you ALWAYS lose points.
Another argument leading to the same end: would you say Jinx101 is better than clouderz? No, he clearly is not. Yet Jinx is 56-0, and clouderz is 28-4. Clouderz, however, has more skill by more than 100. Why is this? Clouderz plays good opponents, and Jinx only challenges people he KNOWS he can win against. Hell, Jinx wont even accept a challenge from me. Skill points matter, not record.
Final example. ever played chromepirate? that guy is a total beast. last season he finished the ladder with a losing record because he plays great opponents. His skill was still in the 1600s.
Anyway, if you dropped the ladder...then that still means I finished above you, because you dropped. And if your argument is that you would have finished above me if you did not drop, then you need to prove yourself with your final skill points, not your final record. my final skill was 1700.
Also, I'm up for dittos whenever =) I'll keep an eye out for you in the free play room.
