Even after a few days I am STILL stuck in that cave. I haven't played much, but it's still been a while for me.
Ya, it's a little confusing. I guess you could look it up somewhere. IGN has a walkthrough which I used to get out of some caves and past a few rough spots. Otherwise it's probably best to keep track of where you've been to or just go back to the start of the maze (if you can find it) and regroup.

By the way, I saw this as a tip for Lucas (but also applies to Ness) whilst casually studying up on them on the 3DS:

"PSI Magnet - After grabbing a projectile with this move, Lucas can roll backward. By releasing the button at the right time, you can also disrupt enemy attacks."

In other words, magnet cancelling is something they 100% know about and 100% intended. :D

OK, so I'm finally starting on my EarthBound drawing. I'll try to have it done by the end of summer, but it might not be done until early September. I hope you'll all bear with me for this, as I've got a good idea of what I want to do with it and how it should end up. If it comes out the way I'm imagining it, I know you guys will love it.

I finally finished Earthbound :D
I wish there were post game things or your party stayed with you after the game was completed, but whatever. No tears were shed, but I didn't take Paula home. I picture them all being together a lot after the credits. The experience was amazing, and when I saw Satoru Iwata's name in the credits, I was overwhelmed with happiness, knowing he made such a great game that so many love.

Best 10 dollars ever spent.

Yup. Truly a one of a kind masterpiece. (By the way, do you mean you didn't take Paula home with you, or to her house?).

But that credits sequence (both of them really) just makes it alllllll worth it. I mean, if there's one reason I want to keep going back and beat Giygas, it's so I can see (and listen to) the credits again on a big screen instead of on my phone and/or computer.

Also, there is one post-game thing that comes after the credits. You have to wait like 30 seconds after the final "Player [insert name here]" credit. It's really short, but the end doesn't really happen until after that sequence. Just letting you know in case you didn't do it already.

I meant I didn't take Paula back to her house. And all I got after the "player x" thing was a "The end...?" Was that what you were talking about?

Ya, the short sequence in between the "Player X" screen and the "The End... ?" screen was what I was talking about. And goody, I'm not the only one that always takes Paula back to Ness' house! (And if you never have you simply do not possess a heart, lol just kidding).

It's alright. You'll get used to the community. It's not like we make fun of new people. Also, there are welcome/ meet and greet threads/forums that you can visit if you'd like, just to get the hang of things around here.

Hello!
You guys may already know this, but when ZSS is in a PK Fire she can still do the first part of her jab in between hits from the fire. Just thought I'd let you know if you didn't already.
Have a great day and thanks for your time. :D

Are you a tournament player? Just wondering. :V

And I just best earthbound for the first time yesterday. I thought it was really touching and I was pretty ready eyed.
No lol. I wish. I've never attended a tournament in a life. There's none in my area. Though maybe in the future i can attend some.

Why do i look like a tournament player hm? :p

Congrats! So neat to see the EarthBound love staying strong. It does have a good story, and a very goofy yet serious plot. I think one of the best parts was the final player credit. I honestly didn't expect that. When they used my actual name at the end of the Giygas battle, I thought "Ya, makes sense, that's how the game's supposed to go.". It kinda ruined that sequence, but eh, I still beat Giygas and saved the world so there. But having your name in the credits of a game, even though you did nothing but buy and play the game, I kinda feel like that's a "Thank you!" from the entire team that worked on the game, as well as every character in the game (including the minor ones).

Yeah, the ending with all of the characters was in my favorites, I don't have a reason why, it was a fun moment though. I kind of wish the chosen 4 were in their own Part on the credits though.

Ya, they should've been. Like, instead of Ness' family at the end, it shoulda been the Chosen Four. Of course, Ness would still walk out of place and do his peace sign, and maybe even the other 3 could do it too. But, I guess you can't change what has already been done.

Starting to remember why I hated Moonside so much in my first walkthrough.

On the bright side, I only ran into two enemies in the Department Store thanks to the enemy respawn trick.

Personally, i didn't think Moonside was that bad in my latest playthrough (which is ongoing). Then again, I did look up a guide and avoided most of the enemies. What made me consider dropping the game was the cave with the Guardian Diggers because 1) I hated the poisonous snakes, and 2) The Guardian Digger battles were not fun at all.

To my humiliation, I died in the Department Store this time. Second time I died overall on this run.

I've only died, 5-7 times I think this time, which is something for me to be proud of. :)

Also, during the Guardian Digger battles, as with all enemies in that maze, just use PSI Freeze. Use PSI Freeze a on the small ones (like the snakes, ducks, and noose men), and PSI Freeze b on the Guardian Diggers. Make sure Ness has a Bionic Slingshot, and have Jeff use bottle rockets (though the bigger the better) against the Diggers, and just have him shoot the other enemies. Bombs help against all the enemies (Diggers and others) too. Needless to say I was just prepared for the desert this time. I honestly didn't take much more than 130 HP damage in that maze, and Lifeup doesn't use much PP, so none of my friends died as opposed to my last run through there.

But Moonside's still dreadful. I'm having a hard time remembering where everything is...and I'm pretty sure I'm gonna die again when I get to the Mani Mani Statue. That thing beat me down (5 times I think) the first time I went through.

I would use PK Freeze B on the enemies, but Paula wouldn't always be fast enough, and well... Plus, I had to get out of the caves three times because I was running low on PP.

I find one Freeze B followed by a Freeze a would do the trick generally.

I avoid slingshots like they're the plague. I'd take more hits that are less powerful but are still quite powerful as opposed to fewer powerful hits.

Basically, look up directions and it makes Moonside not as nightmarish.

Really? I didn't run out of PP once. I had a few PSI Caramels with me, and because of that Paula barely ever got down to 50 PP. Never even had to get out of that cave once. And ya, the slingshots are not the best. But I guess they get the job done if they hit. That's why I traded it in at the top of the Department Store before going back down where Paula got kidnapped.

Also, lucky me, Paula almost always had her turn first in every battle in that maze. Thank you luck!

Basically, Paula used psychic attacks in the cave while Ness and Jeff were busy shooting, throwing bombs, and using bottle rockets. Got through it no sweat.

Well, I've reunited the Chosen Four in my second run through. Going back to Fourside tomorrow to beat the Plague Rat of Doom before I head off to Scaraba for the first time this walkthrough. Any place I should go to train a bit before going into the sewers so I don't end up failing against the sewage creeps or the Kracken if I happen to get by them?

The two times before I actually beat the Plague Rat of Doom with Flash Beta's insta-kill effect. I laughed so hard both times. Wasn't that lucky the third time, but Flash Beta still crippled it.

As for grinding, I'd say either the sewers or the Pink Cloud dungeon, especially after you beat the guardians. You always get the first hit since they're scared of you.
