Toasty was the best ROB in SoVA (after I dropped ROB <3) Like late 08-early 09. Was on the ROB power rankings at one point as well...He was placing top 5 pretty frequently...

Toasty was teaming with BlackG and I was teaming with Kadaj...We always winded up playing in GF or winners finals...After awhile MD/VA started coming to our tournies and our teams split...I started teaming with ESOJ and Toasty was teaming with Kadaj

Well then tell MKs to practice what you preach and stop being so afraid of ICs CG.

And if you had a solid main in general you shouldn't need a second in the first place. Worry about your own skill, not what character you play. If you're good enough with the character and like who you play you can figure out your characters' weakness and overcome/cover it.

You guys completely missed the point of Geno's post. All he was saying is without confidence you won't play as well as you could (ie: you will suck). I mean, you can still win without confidence if you are that much better. You just will not have played the best you could have.

I think what RBman was trying to say was just pick a character you enjoy, have fun, and don't worry about anything else. He probobly could have said it a little better.

If you want someone to just make a random suggestion of chars they want to see I vote wolf, samus, sheik, olimar, DK or lucario (pokemon mains would be cool right?) in that order. If you want to win, play MK or one of the high tiers obviously. If you want to have fun and see how far you can go with a certain character, I don't know how we can say anything if we've never seen you and know nothing about you. You have to do your own research there.

I'm scared of ICs' chaingrab--fearing that one move dictates the kind of game I'm going to play against them, which is patience/don't get grabbed. I don't fear ICs one bit. If you act like the CG is not a weapon, and don't keep away from getting grabbed, enjoy dropping your set. I don't fear anything except a Falco that knows the Ike matchup, when I'm on Ike. And I'm not even really afraid of that anymore. Only probably on wifi.

If you think you can't beat a certain character, you're going to lose. Don put me in a spot the last time I played him where I felt it was impossible to beat him at my current skill level--and that's when I lost. And guess when that happened?

Don't mindgame yourself out, ever. Keep your cool, work your plan, know your MUs and CPs.

Thats discouraging. Low tiers are only low because of their weaknesses, if you know how to overcome weakness, you can have them stand up against almost anything.
