Let be the first one, i don't want DreamWorks bring to live action their films.
I just want their LA to be set in the same universes but with new storylines and such, but everyone knows how Hollywood is.
I know what you mean. If it is a remake, then not only is that a not so good thing, but the movie industry has not learned from things like live action remakes of animation films.

Did anyone post this yet?

There was a problem fetching the tweet

Dreamworks must be taking cues from Disney now with the live action versions of films.
Well, at least it's not a Disney live-action remake. So I'm actually a bit more hopeful for this one since IIRC, this is the first time Dreamworks is trying it's hand at live-action remakes of it's own films.

That said, while I hope it's not insultingly bad, I really don't know what a live-action remake of HTTYD could add to the original film.

Simple answer.

Just watch the original animated film.

No need for live-action remakes as they lack the magic the animated originals do.

I joke but I'm legit questioning some of Smogon's banning decisions this gen.

Chi Yu and Chien Pao? Yeah sure, makes sense.

Annihilape and Iron Bundle? Sure, I can dig it.

Cyclizar and Houndstond? Literally why.

Cyclizar was banned due to Shed Tail, and now Orthworm just is seeing play instead of it. Why not just ban Shed Tail?

Houndstone is a mid-AF Pokemon and is only banned due to Last Respects, which, surprise, Basculegion gets it too, and is an actual, legit threat, especially since it has Swift Swim.

a live action HTTYD will likely lead to more exclusive content for Peacock hopefully. I’d be down for some Dreamworks shows there (both animated and live action)

another She-Ra show for example…Dreamworks and Peacock get to it

The way that Smogon does things is that they only ban a move or ability if everything becomes broken with that move or ability. Moody Glalie, Assist Liepard, and Arena Trap Diglett being genuine threats is a clear indication something is wrong. Cyclizar was nasty because of the regenerator/shed tail combo, Orthworm is perfectly fine at the moment so there's little need to ban if. On the other end of the table, Last Respects Basculegion ( and even Basculin) will be completely ridiculous and the move will be banned within a week (freeing the dog and fish). It's just that it's technically a signature move at the moment, so banning it goes against policy.

Cyclizar was banned due to how it used Shed Tail. Orthworm can use it, but Cyclizar is much more overbearing. As Orthworm is balanced with Shed Tail, and Cyclizar is not, it means that Cyclizar is inherently the problem. If you were to remove Shed Tail from Cyclizar, it'd be balanced, but that's not happening anytime soon, so that's the way the cookie crumbles.

Houndstone was just a really weird decision overall. It's the only thing in the game with Last Respects rn, so there's no reason not to just ban the move (Especially since they know full well Basculegion is gonna wreck **** once it's officially released.) It's been the real only questionable ban so far.
