That's a bummer. I'll definitely still see it as I think I like the first two Antman films more than most people, but I'll lower my expectations. I'll be curious to see if it dips and stays below Eternals in the coming weeks. At least Kang is receiving consistent praise; if they messed him up there'd be no hope going forward.

While I can't say I'm fatigued when it comes to the films, there is definitely a slight lapse in quality control overall. Hopefully the rumors of Disney slowing things down, especially the TV shows, will do some good. The TV shows feel like chores for the most part except for Loki and maybe WandaVision IMO. I'd much rather see them continue to become their own films like Armor Wars apparently is.
Yeah the report that Kevin Feige is stretched way thin is making a lot more sense now. I know Disney loves the amount of money Marvel takes in but it’s been a bit of a slog with the last two shows, and Ms.Marvel and She-Hulk, personally though I did really enjoy Moon Knight as a character study. They just need to buckle down and let the story tell itself naturally over a course of a bunch of years instead of trying to blow through it as fast as they have been.

But yeah I’ll watch Quantumania for Paul Rudd alone.

Damn Antman 3's getting destroyed. That's... kinda sad to see.
I will say that the bad reviews about Quantumania is sad to see as I am a fan of Paul Rudd as Scott Lang and Jonathan Majors looks really good as Kang the Conquerer.

This is where I believe the return of Bob Iger and his leadership style is certainly going to be beneficial to the creative divisions meaning the likes of Marvel Studios will have more quality control of their projects.

I heard rumours that both Echo and Agatha: Coven of Chaos which were originally meant to be released later this year have been shifted to next year instead.

Though I'm not gonna lie, I think Multiverse of Madness deserves more credit. It was a fun film
Nobody is denying its a fun film. It has great setpieces, action scenes, and Sam Raimi's work was amazing. Its more so that the plot itself had numerous issues and inconsitencies, particularly Wanda's motivations and how inept Strange (as well as how the movie treats him)

That's fair, it was weird how Strange didn't teally do much action until the near the end of the film

Don't get me wrong, the movies will continue to do absolute gangbusters. But I think audiences are gradually getting tired of the formula.
I notably gotten tired for the formula since we got to Infinity War. All things considered they should had ended the MCU with Far From Home minus the post-credits (As a nice little epilogue showing Tony's legacy will always continue).

That said Guardians 3 and Deadpool 3 are really the only MCU films I look forward to. Hell, I'm excited for Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. I think the problem isn't Marvel or superheroes in general. It's the MCU.

Notably invested with Invincible and definitely look forward to season 2, DC IMO has been on a roll lately as seen with Shazam!, Joker, The Suicide Squad and The Batman, and definitely look forward to what James Gunn has cooked up for the rebooted universe. Definitely looking forward to Joker 2 and The Batman: Part II as well.

Also the fact too the MCU as this point requires you to watch their shows to know what's going on with the movies. For ex. WandaVision with Doctor Strange 2, pretty exhausting...Not everyone has Disney+.

Adding to that, I just wished that the Illuminati members had more screen time.

There was a problem fetching the tweet

don’t forget the part where Chapek was an overall **** headed fool, cause that alone caused Marvel a massive problem in the form of the ScarJo money issue
True and that caused a major nightmare for Disney's PR. Plus Kevin Feige was not happy with Chapek's strategy of a simultaneous release for the Black Widow film as he solely wanted to be a theatrical release. But there are also other poor decisions that Chapek had done during his reign whether that include relegating three Pixar films to Disney+ to saying that "adults don't watch animation" remark.

I will say that during Chapek's reign, there were a number of projects that I felt had suffered through his strategy and in terms of quality whether this is from Disenchanted, the live action Pinocchio film, National Treasure: Edge of History series, Lightyear, Strange World, the Eternals etc.

As for the MCU going forward, whilst I cannot say what the reception of their current upcoming projects from GoTG Vol 3, the Marvels, Secret Invasion etc are going to be, but with what Kevin Feige stated about slowing things down plus Bob Iger's return, this could be the direction they need to ensure that they have full control to provide further polish within their works.

Hard to believe that Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania comes out in a few days; I haven't been following reviews too closely, but I'm hoping to see it on Saturday.

Looking forward to John Wick 4, Shazam 2, and Creed 3 next month. (I haven't been following the upcoming movie releases too closely, but I know those are coming out in March; not sure what's coming out in February, but it's usually a slow month)

I've recently watched two different animated films that were recently nominated for best animated feature for the Academy Awards which were Guillermo del Toro's Pinocchio and "Cat" in Boots: Last Wish. Here are my thoughts:

Having watched different takes and adaptations of Pinocchio from Walt Disney and Steve Barron's take, Guillermo del Toro took a different a kind of spin of the well known iconic fairy tale which was really well done in terms of the use of its stop-motion animation and utilising its dark concepts within its storytelling.

Dreamworks Studios certainly know how to craft an interesting storyline that was fun and engaging courtesy of its characters which were well performed by its talented cast.
