But it starts sounding a lot less fun when I realize I'm trapped in an artificial realm of comprised entirely of 1's and 0's, removed from true physical sensation, without any friends or family, no way back out if I ever want to experience the natural beauties of the planet ever again, and I'm stuck buying land with dogecoin in the goddamn metaverse.

No thanks. Fantasies are fun, but eventually you have to reconnect with reality or you'll lose your humanity. Gimme a Star Trek Holodeck that I can enter and exit at my own will, that sounds good.

Started playing the new Indiana Jones game.

Probably one of the most visually detailed games out there right now.
I spent the first 30 minutes just looking at museum exhibits because all the placards are actually readable.

Original 1980s (Incomplete)

It might help to read what has been translated of the 1980s story and watch the OVA first, as the Manga combines the two and greatly expands upon them. The English OVA Dub isn't great, the VAs sound better as time goes on, but it's still a fun ride thanks to the animation and set pieces.

Fun Fact: The only guest artist on the Manga series was Akiman of Street Fighter fame.

It's not finished, but it was for a game jam that ends tomorrow so I just made it into a playable state, and finish the rest later. So I won't post it here yet.

One of the lessons I've had to learn, both in therapy and in coming to accept my identity, is that whether we like it or not our minds and bodies are connected. We have to take care of one in order to take care of the other. What we feel in our brains effects what we feel in our bodies and vice versa.

If I uploaded my mind to a computer and left my body behind, well, that wouldn't be me. It would merely be a digital imitation. At best it would be an entirely different person. At worst, a mere simulation of a person.

I think that's what horrified me about the idea so much. But I think it's also why this idea of uploading our minds to a cloud - our true minds - will be nothing more then a fantasy.

Man, I'm realizing that Nintendo hasn't had any releases this year I'm particularly excited for, I got 2 NSO vouchers back in July cause I'd get 20 euros back in store credit and I planned on using one on Zelda before remembering I'm not that big on Zelda and would be annoyed if it had the same issues Link's Awakening had which it did. I better hope Prime 4 comes out before July and that some other title I'd like such as the rumoured Robobot remake comes out there too, but in case they don't, does anyone have any recommendations for the games eligble for vouchers? Worst case scenario I can get Donkey Kong but it'd be cool to hear sales pitches
