It's funny seeing this and realizing this is like, a cultural blueprint for a lot of anime, all I know is the car scene and that this deals with heavy ****

In other news, a Google employee managed to access private videos on Nintendo’s Youtube account.

Edit: From what I’ve read, it’s not new information. Rather it is older leaks that have occurred because of this.

I got a Godzilla Minus One headcanon.

Godzillasaurus/Godzilla is a kami.

Kami (Japanese: , [kaꜜmi]) are the deities, divinities, spirits, mythological, spiritual, or natural phenomena that are venerated in the Shinto religion. They can be elements of the landscape, forces of nature, beings and the qualities that these beings express, and/or the spirits of venerated dead people. Many kami are considered the ancient ancestors of entire clans (some ancestors became kami upon their death if they were able to embody the values and virtues of kami in life). Traditionally, great leaders like the Emperor could be or became kami.

In Shinto, kami are not separate from nature, but are of nature, possessing positive and negative, and
good and evil characteristics. They are manifestations of musubi (結び),[2] the interconnecting energy of the universe, and are considered exemplary of what humanity should strive towards. Kami are believed to be "hidden" from this world, and inhabit a complementary existence that mirrors our own: shinkai (神界, "the world of the kami").[3]: 22 To be in harmony with the awe-inspiring aspects of nature is to be conscious of kannagara no michi (随神の道 or 惟神の道, "the way of the kami").

I had the idea he was maybe a species of semi-aquatic marine theropod dinosaur that survived extinction by staying in the deep oceans but the more I thought about it. It'd be impossible for a natural organism to evolve such insane regeneration as the novelization even confirms pre-nuke Godillasaurus had it. So perhaps Godzillasaurus/Godzilla is in fact a marine dragon of sorts? A dragon fits the bill for a kami.

Which honestly I dig because of the idea of a potential Minus One version of King Ghidorah being the offspring of the Yamata-no-Orochi that inhabits a cave worshipped by a village cult, something similar to Iris in Gamera 3.

Let There Be Carnage was so bat **** insane and cheesy that it was actually kinda awesome, so sign me up for more of this garbage
I'm guessing the scene in the bar was something that was filmed exclusively for the trailer to make people think that this movie's part of the MCU, because otherwise, a random soldier can teleport from one universe to the other just to capture symbiotes.

I dunno if everyone’s getting it but now there’s a drag down ad at the top of the screen that pops up every time I open the thread and it’s annoying
I'm seeing it on mobile.

Not only is it extremely obtrusive until you temporarily close the ad, but it also blocks the menu icon that helps users navigate the site and the forums as well as part of the Smashboards logo. And it doesn't seem like there's any option to permanently dismiss it besides trying to reload the page and hope you get a different ad.

Any chance that this specific ad can be removed, please?

or Eddie ended up teleporting to the exact same bar with the exact same guy, as Soldier Mordo casually hunts for goo

I think it will be in the movie, but it’s just going to be the bar in Eddie’s Mexico that he got sent back. Leaving more parts of the Symboite behind, for this new group to find and if rumors are true…

Become the Symboite syndicate to hunt him down

There is another #SaveTF2 Campaign going on

I feel like the first time Valve gave a non committal answer we should have learned that Valve really doesn't give a ****. At this point the only response I could realistically see from valve, is them turning off the official servers altogether. I don't think that will happen, nor do I want it to happen. But I also cannot see them fixing the bots, especially with a new hero shooter by them coming out at some point, No way will they devote the resources to TF2 with that on the horizon.

It'll be saved with more cosmetics and microtransactions and suddenly Valve is the consumer friendly good guys again.

I mean, I get why people are trying. TF2 was huge for years and still kind of is.

The issues are that the only way to actually get Valve to even possibly do something at this point are to show less support for the game in it's current and stop spending money on the official TF2 store, as well as to make more videos and calls to action about just out of control the bot situation is. And even that might not work.

That being said, unless it's their idea of a solution to stop the bots, I doubt Valve will be taking down the servers any time soon. Servers for their much older and less active games like the Goldsrc Counter-Strike games and both versions of Day of Defeat are still up and running. And unlike them, F2P or not, TF2 actually provides plenty of sources of income for Valve besides, far more than just someone buying a copy of the game and calling it that.

I'm not sure where TF2 is going to go from here but I think it's safe to say that the servers will at least be up and running for the foreseeable future.,

tbh I don't even care for Smash that much anymore and I just realized why;

I don't got friends to play the game with anymore. When Brawl, 4, and Ult came out, I was in elementary, middle, and high school-college respectively. Smash 6 rolls around and now I'm an adult with no friends around to play it with cause we're all busy and/or far spread out. All I got left are my siblings coming back home for breaks/visits.

Online just ain't the same

I'm still in touch with the friends I have that play Smash and we sometimes do play Ultimate together, it's our go-to multiplayer game (I don't own Mario Kart so it's also the only option when I'm the host).

But we don't do that often and I don't have an urge for another Smash speculation period at the moment

All my friends are on the PS5 now. Or really, just third-party titles that the Switch couldn’t handle. Multiversus is filling the Smash craving well enough despite the changes in the final build.

That COULD change with Smash 6, but that requires buying a whole console for Smash. In 2024, my wallet is not prepared for that level of commitment. :4pacman:

Between COVID and most of the friends that I know outside of the internet not really being Nintendo fans, I'm not used to playing Smash multiplayer outside of online anyway. I'm still playing Ultimate online from time to time either in Quickplay or more commonly, Battle Arenas. I just have a lot of other games on my backlog that I'm trying to complete now, some that are kind of overdue with how long I've had them, so Ultimate and other online and competitive games are taking a backseat to those for now.

That said, playing with randoms isn't always exactly fun since you never know who you're going to be fighting or what their attitude is going to be like. I kinda miss hosting Battle Arenas for here as well, even if I only did so occasionally (and once case was for Sora's release; that was hype).
