I for one welcome more original monsters tbh. I especially like Behemoth being a mammoth/ground sloth titan and all. And as you said, Legendary would have to buy the rights to other Toho monsters which would be costly. Mothra, Rodan, King Ghidorah and Mechagodzilla were lent to Legendary as they were the "Big Five" along with Godzilla hence the most popular.

Also Anguirus was in the movie when Serizawa was heading to the temple where Godzilla was. Just look closely. :p

The funny thing about all of this?

Over the weekend was the Sinnoh Celebration Tour in Pokemon Go, and I was thinking about what future tours might look like. While the Unova tour had plenty of options, I was curious what the Kalos tour might look like because basically everything from Gen 6 had been released. Aside from the Mega Mewtwos, which weren't exactly "Kalos", there aren't any big raid inclusions to add like the Primals and Origin Forms. Maybe easier acess to Zygarde cells? And one of the coolest things about the tours is that you could find the roaming legends in the wild, but there aren't any sub-legendaries for Kalos so they can't do that. I even remember thinking "they can't do anything to patch it up because there isn't going to be another Kalos game in two years".

Yeah. I saw the skeleton. It’s cool that they managed to do that at least. I guess I just wish they were able to use more of the original characters from the classic series. Especially since they kind of blew the wad with everyone in King of the Monsters and the rest are not going to be as able to draw people in.

That’s why my pitch I gave you last night used the Xiliens, so that they would have an excuse to use as many monsters as possible (from a story perspective).

If not a Legends game set in the Wild West, now with an...uncomfortable level of detail when it comes to a Rapidash's backside.

Also remember the first legends game trailer opened with 3 books on a table. Betting Z-A is one of the second ones.

They probably came up with the legends concept and had employees pitch ideas
.

Chose 3 and decided to put two of them in development to test the waters. Meaning they may already have ideas for a third one.

For real doh, GTA modders are a whole new league. They can make a whole ass Iron Man game with an exclusive UI and everything.

The major struggles/market corrections of the AAA scene continue:


As noted before, a lot of these companies have got to adjust. The excess employees hired during the pandemic was going to be tricky to maintain, but with the budgets now out of control (and in Sony's case not nearly as much of the Japanese market to rely on)? Major changes have to be coming as this strategy really cannot be maintained.
