Maybe, I’ll give Gamefreak credit for at least giving us a bonus epilogue that uses the original cast more. Even though they could have just as easily put them in the DLC, but eh. Guess they wanted to make new characters to milk for money in Pokémon Masters down the line.

Gonna be honest, of the Banjo games, Tooie is my favorite.

I enjoyed the open world aspect and while I do admit the game is much more monotonous, it still leaves me with a grin when I play it.

I never played the GBA games so I can’t rank them, closest would be playing the first 360 Sega Racing game with Banjo in it… then switching my main in that game to Zobio and Zobiko. Because Zombies driving a car made me laugh.

Out of the Banjo Kazooie games I have played, Tooie was my favorite.
Part of it is because it was the first one I played so I'm biased.

Y'all cowards (/lh) need to recognize that gen 2 of Pokemon was one of the most impressive and quality games on Nintendo hardware for its time

We love gen 5 now, but gen 2 took a lot of huge steps in that direction, with some impressive early lore for some of the legendaries, Silver was one of the first genuinely interesting human characters, and it had an impressively expansive amount of content for a GBC game

Sinnoh's got one of the worst Victory Road themes.

Also, the lack of Fire Type thing could have been easily fixed if they didn't lock Numel, Slugma and I think Magby's lines put into the post game. Though the remakes and Platinum fixed that.

Not necessarily wrong, though franchises with one crown jewel and other games with a mixed reception is nothing new

What other examples are there? This isn't me dunking on Banjo fans, I just can't think of any other series where people only like 1 out of 5 games, maybe two of em, and go "Please bring it back" so much to the point they scare the people who could make it
