I don't know how to feel about KFP4.
It's nice to see more KFP, but based on the trailer something feels off.
I just can't point out what's bothering me.
Not surprising that Splatoon 3 ended up as my most played game of the year followed by Tales of Vesperia Definitive Edition and the SNES Online Service.
To think I was going to finally play Tales of Symphonia only to scared off by the Remaster's MANY problems.

Interesting... the regional forms of Pokémon you've caught not in the Terrarium don't count count as being caught in the Blueberry Dex (ex: despite catching Kantonian Vulpix prior, it says I need Alolan Vulpix to be count as caught here.)

Caught an Exeggecute, evolved it. It turned into a normal Exeggutor. I'm not sure how to evolve it into a tall one, if at all.

Some things to note from just a very brief examination
Kleavor is here, but the Black Augerite seemingly isn't. It's weird because there's wild Kleavors but where is the evolution item?
Overqwil is in the dex, meaning they maybe fixed its evolution method.
I have no idea where or how to get Alolan Exeggutor despite being in the trailer. Maybe there's static ones I can't find?

Side note. I don't know what's going on with this new Tera type, but I really hope they don't ban Terastallization as a whole. I've been really enjoying watching Showdown matches in my spare time and I think it's become my favorite gimmick next to Mega Evolution. It makes matches so much more interesting IMO.

How...how did Engage get #3. I only did a single playthrough and didn't even enjoy most of it. Jeeze that's a game that doesn't respect your time.
I guess a lot of my Pokemon Scarlet playtime happened on an alt but still.

I still want to like it though! It’s just the things I liked about it were not the same things everyone else liked about it and now it’s too different.
Really sad that there are only like 2 Pokémon games I can genuinely enjoy and nobody really thinks they’re all that good.

SwSh and Let’s Go. Linear routes, no random encounters, exp share active at all times.
But they do have their problems. Aside from the 6 that make up my team I don’t find Galar’s dex all that compelling, and Let’s Go has the whole Go style capture mechanic. But I still had a lot of fun playing them (even if I forgot to do one of Let’s Go’s Gyms somehow. The Psychic Type one. Just missed it somehow.).
I know there is technically a linear path of progression you can take in ScarViol, but it’s just not the same as being actually physically limited on where you can go so it feels like I’m actually making my way through a place and then can know when it’s done and cleared off. And I tried going back to the 3DS games, and I played BDSP to the end of its story. But the random encounters are just too annoying.
And legends was fine. But I was really frustrated with how little the game actually points you in the direction of Pokémon and objectives. Like, the side quests are so limited and so out of the way in your base town, and like I guess you can get more in other places but I only ever go from quest objective to quest objective catching what’s within a certain radius around me so I never found any of those other places until the end of the story when I was brought there by the narrative. And… gah, I could keep going but I’m ranting about nothing. Basically I just wish it was structured differently and didn’t rely so much on my own curiosity to find all this stuff. Because I’m not curious, do I never found it.
If Paldea had a mode where it chopped up the story sequences and forced you to do them in a specific order, and removed some of the excess world topography so you were funneled around the map in a linear order, then I think that would be great fun. But there’s no reason for them to do that so…
