Learned that Daisy (and pretty much by default Peach) will be able to float on their own naturally still in Mario Wonder. Wondered about that due to people freaking out over the “everyone except Yoshis and Nabbit play the same” comment.

ok now I’m confused again over this Mario gameplay on whether or not Peach/Daisy actually is floating without a badge after realizing footage is being cut around consistently

Just finished Ascension for the second time in my life. And now to play the PS4 game for the second time in my life. Though this time it's on steam so I don't have to actually use the PS4.

Pokemon Fans, "Wow, Gen 9's powercreep is pretty high, but at least we don't got a lot of old broken Pokemon to deal with."

-Home Update drops-

Pokemon Fans, "Okay, well at least we don't have to deal with broken moves like Scald, Grassy Glide or Toxic on everything!"

-DLC Update drops-

Gamefreak thought they'd clean up the meta a bit, but clearly they missed the chaos.

Game Freak felt bad seeing stall players get ****ed so tremendously with the nerfs, removals and offensive Heal Block, that's my theory

The Monkey's Paw

Weavile will probably get Triple Axel in the DLC

It curls

But so will Chien-Pao.
Chein Pao should definitely get the move, so that it can stay in Ubers and Weavile can Weav again.

The only Ubers that I think have a chance of coming back are Volcarona and maybe Anhillape. Everyone else is in prison until Gen 10 introduces turbo power creep and Chi-Yu falls to RUBL.

But, Stall's unironically one of the best OU teamcomps in Gen 9 lol.
I was going to ask "isn't Gen 9 stuck in Hyper Offense Hell right now?", but then I remembered how many times Smogonites have argued that the more extreme the offensive threats running around are the more extreme and stall-y the defensive teams have to be.

So, the characters that first appeared in The Super Mario Bros. Movie- Does Nintendo fully own them or does Universal own a piece of that pie?

Dondozo and Ting Lu almost carry the style on their back because they're both insanely bulky Pokemon, but Toxapex still exists even without Scald, and then you got other guys like Corviknight, Garganacl, Rotom Wash, etc.

Stall got recovery moves nerfed, but it's honestly as prevalent as ever. In the top TOP parts of the OU ladder, you come across a lot of it from what I've seen and read.

I'll probably try to set up a RedBubble alongside my TeePublic, since the latter is owned by the former, I shouldn't have too many issues with that. I've considered a Patreon before, but I'm still iffy on that.

Also Noipoi Noipoi and another others who might be looking for an art gig.

Might be worth looking into, I know I am!

If they didn’t learn their ****ing lesson after Super Mario RPG and reword those contracts then Nintendo is officially the stupidest company in existence. But considering there’s evidence that Capcom owns Vaati and Koi Tecmo owns the OCs they made for the warriors games they probably didn’t.

Which is funny since, afaik, they were considering the Minish to be involved with the original BotW.

Honestly, giving it a week and a half out and mulling over my thoughts on the Mario movie

It was fine. It was a fine kids movie, but it was just too fast paced. The lack of slow paced moments just made the movie feel rushed and didn't give us a lot of earned sensations of character growth or interactions. I felt like Mario and Peach had 'some' chemistry, but outside the training montage and the fire flower scene, they really, really didn't get much time to just....bond? It was just GOGOGOGOGO GET TO THE NEXT PLOT THREAD ASAP GOGOGOGO.

Again, it's a good kids movie, and it's not bad just... I don't think I personally enjoyed it as much as I had hoped to.

You know what the movie feels like to me?

It feels like a kid playing with his Mario toys. He spent the whole week planning out this whole epic plot in his head, the weekend's here, he finished up all his chores, he stole his sister's camera, and now it's finally time to enact his masterpiece.

Vaati and The Minish aren’t owned by Capcom, at least with Vaati we know that because Four Swords Adventures is a Nintendo only Joint. Flagship was housed at Capcom and was technically the owner but Nintendo and Sega had just as much invested in the company as the other two if not more.

Koei-Tecmo owning the OCs is possible but that seems unlikely since they don’t own any of their other OCs from licensed franchises like the OCs in DQ Heroes 1 & 2.

Honestly, yeah that's a great way to describe it. It very much felt like a kid playing with their toys. All speed, zero downtime.
