Live-action Disney films just shouldn't exist period. Waste of resources when Disney could using that money for more original films or adaptations of old stories, lifeless carbon copies of the originals. If people wants to watch them, watch the original animated films.

The Live-action Disney remakes will never be better than the originals so the best thing they can do is craft an identity that allows them to stand on their own. The worst thing a remake can do is be too similar to the original and most of the Disney remakes (from what I can gleam since I haven't seen most of them) fall into this trap. The Alice is Wonderland and Jungle Book remake managed to avoid the trap though only the latter turned out good. The Mulan had the right idea, but was horribly executed from what I hear.

Well, I just beat Tears of the Kingdom, my play time was more than both of my BotW playthroughs yet I feel like I had so much more fun due to how much there was to do. Only real gripes were Koroks until I realized I could just toss out any axes or hammers I wasn't using without having to worry about it and how you can't sell stuff in bulk. Still, had quite a bit of fun through the whole thing.

If there is anything that I can say briefly about the Little Mermaid live action film is that I enjoyed Halle Bailey, Jonah Hauer-King and Melissa McCarthy's performances as Ariel, Eric and Ursula. In addition, even though she did briefly apperaed as Vanessa, Jessica Alexander's performance also deserves praise too in which I do hope that Bailey, Hauer-King and Alexander will have further roles in films down the line.
