Well technically it is the finale of the Journeys series.

The way this final arc if framed just sort of gives off the vibe of this being the grand finale of Ash.
He bumps into Gary again, the goes to train for the Pokemon master league with Paul. Said Master league is made up of the strongest people he's ever met (And Iris for some reason)

Which is weird because we know Ash will never end.

There's a rumor that some sort of Banjo Kazooie project is to be revealed at the microsoft thingy tomorrow.

Now on the one hand, it's been three years since the bear and bird were put into smash. And I don't need to tell you that it garnered quite the reaction.

It wouldn't be out of the realm of possibility for some execs to see that, realize there's money to be made here, and scrounge up a team to put together a remake or something. And three years is enough time for them to show the game off, I think.

But on the other hand-

There will never be a new Banjo game

One more thing on the Banjo topic.

Grant Kirkhope, legendary composer famous for his work on the series, has said that he doesn't buy the rumors. Some are taking this to mean they're definitely fake.

But iirc, he also said that he didn't think Banjo & Kazooie would get into Smash. Three weeks before they got into Smash. He even composed the Spiral Mountain remix!

So yeah, Grant's comment really doesn't confirm or deny anything.

Not that it matters. There will never be a new Banjo game

I legit don't remember any negativity during the buildup to ORAS.

...Now AFTER the game launched, yeah there were complaints, they got rid of the post game and made the game easier in general after all. But those were from Gen 3 fans.

The XY days were pure. The Sun/Moon days were also hype af.
