I don't think we're getting a pass 3 tbh. It's already been just over 2 years since the DLC started, I doubt they'll want to keep on going after the second one.

I mean I can at least see a lot of moveset potential with those two series, hell I even started thinking of some ideas for Steve a while back. I can justify their inclusion in the roster a bit more than Qbby. And before you hit me with the blanket “Sakurai can make a character out of anyone” it still seems like a big undertaking and a lot of liberties to make Qbby work. Like how could you see them working, what could some of his moves be?

I don't think we're getting a pass 3 tbh. It's already been just over 2 years since the DLC started, I doubt they'll want to keep on going after the second one.

You never know. But I’m certainly not expecting it. It’s just another thing I’m merely hoping for because that takes the pressure off of these last three to be exactly right.

Truthfully I don’t know. I’ve never played the series. I was just trying to think of interesting first party characters that aren’t just cleaning up the stragglers from each main franchise.

Using the N. Same designs? Probably not. But using the Crash 4 designs? You can really tell those models were specifically designed so they could share animations.

Besides it wouldn't make sense for Asura's Wrath, Ghosts N' Goblins, Mega Man, and Resident Evil to be altogether given their settings.

That said I like to think of all franchises owned by their companies as their own multiverses but otherwise as a whole an omniverse.

Sony Interactive Entertainment multiverse
Square Enix multiverse

I'd say he's not hurt by Sephiroth's chances, but he's only slightly helped.


People seem soo quick to jump at Eggman when I seriously doubt that the next character will be another villain. It feels like people are gravitating to Eggman like how people tend to gravitate towards certain characters whenever they have a new game coming.

His standing didn't change a whole lot for me, I never discounted the idea of already represented franchises.

I think Megaten (Demi-Friend) and Street Fighter (Chun Li) are the series most likely to double up

It has an epilogue with a Chun-Li cameo so it's set in the Street Fighter universe
It's just set about 890 million years ago.

Several of the monsters also go up to being godlike world enders such as Fatalis.

Sonic is planning for a massive bash in 2021. Some big Sonic News coming out soon.
Fighters Pass 2 so far is just companies already represented for Smash. Sega would be a part of that assuming this holds true.

Adding more Villians seems to be a theme with Ultimate. K. Rool's trailer highlighted this.

A Yakuza rep is out, which is Sega's second in command.
Steve coincided with Minecon.
Next Smash reveal will be in 2021, the same year huge Sonic news comes out.

Tails, Knuckles, and Shadow are out.
Dr. Eggman is just a spirit. They don't deconfirm fighters.

What if we got Dr. Eggman in Smash to coincide with the big Sonic news?

If it was just Persona I'd agree with you, but the fact that they added the sonic costumes is what makes me think Eggman's not happening
