I'm foggy, correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't Terry teased in Banjo's presentation? Or am I completely off base.

Terry was revealed the same day Banjo came out, but not in his presentation. He was revealed in the Direct which happened right before the presentation.

We did see like 5 seconds of gameplay of him though. Basically a FighterZ trailer.

Banjo's Sakurai Presents announcement and the reveal of Terry both happened in that Nintendo Direct.

He was revealed on the same day as Banjo's presentation, but there was a general direct right before Banjo's presentation that showed him. (the last general Direct that we've had, in fact)

Seriously though, neither am I. I want it. I really really want it. But I know it isn't happening

I just.... man. Earlier today I just kind of randomly got hit by the Sephiroth hype I should have felt when he was revealed and I was like... super excited for like... the rest of the drive. I wish I could feel like that all the time in regards to him. And I hate that I can't stop myself from acting like this. It's just like... why? Why has the world given me the circumstances that shaped my emotional problems to the point where seeing one of my favorite villains in all of gaming get into Smash is somehow mildly disappointing. I'm mad at myself this time and I hate that!

So help me if that puppet is a Mii Costume....

But also, guys, seriously. Stop talking about it like believing that there was at least a possibility that we could have seen the next character so soon. Don't pretend you didn't want to believe the idea, even for a moment.

I dunno. Steve to Sephiroth to me moved blistering fast, like, when I flip on Halland/Dalarna, I have to double take that the videos say "Uploaded: 2 months ago".

Sephiroth drops after the halfway part of the month, and after him is Christmas and New Years back to back, then just January, with Feb being a super short month.

anyone else kinda want an epilogue to Sephiroth's trailer? Cause I wanna know who else, besides Pit, did not fight him. Feels like he could have saved the ones who didn't fight to get them all to heal up, then unite together to take on the new big bad (especially if Cloud were to lose due to the lack of freshness or being able to heal up)

I mean, you can if he's playable down the line, but we don't know that one way or the other right now since we haven't seen the Mii costume lineup.

And I didn't. These character showcases have never focused on anything but the advertised character. It'd be like if you were advertising a car and then halfway through the ad you start promoting an entirely different car, you've completely shifted attention away from the original product being sold.
