In Smash Bros., Meta Knight's Spanish accent is obviously a nod to the anime. However, in the anime, he's voiced by Eric Stuart, and in Smash, he's voiced by Eric Newsome. In Japanese copies of Smash, however, Meta Knight's VA from the anime reprises his role.
