Fun fact: These are actual Kirby bosses drawn by the current series director. That explains a lot on how Kirby lore pretty much says Kirby's an eldritch abomination
“I’m Jirae Shan Xiao! Wow, you must be really desperate if you summoned me of all demons.”
Alignment: Dark-Law
Origin: Chinese mythology. Short, one-legged, crayfish-eating simian creatures that live in the western mountains. Their name means “mountain imp”. They laugh at humans, steal their fire, and can make them ill. When a shan xiao is sighted, it signals an approaching storm or drought. There are many different annotations about how they look, which may stem from their shape-shifting abilities. Knowing their names can render them harmless.
Skills: Ice Breath, Lunge, Tarukaja
Next time, you will meet a demon of the Wilder race.
Fun fact, shan xiao in Standard Modern Chinese means a mandrill monkey. Which may explain its monkey-like pose. As shan xiao's descriptions vary wildly, this one fits the mold rather nicely, I can easily see it as a mischievous little monster. The zucchini head is a bit funny but still, it’s not a demon you want to approach without caution.
I think I'm gonna start over my Brilliant Diamond playthrough. I picked Turtwig there but I just had a Torterra on my latest PLA team. I also used Infernape a bajilion times already so I gotta go with the worst option
Nintendo is celebrating Mario Day early with a huge eShop sale of Mario games ranging from 30%-35% off (83% off for Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle).
I've been wanting to pick up New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe as well as Mario Kart 8 Deluxe (especially the latter due to its upcoming DLC) so I'll be snagging them.
