Just because it was in the comic book proper does not make it a good idea or well executed. Thanos in the comic was trying to impress his girlfriend death. Such a great motivation. I am going to kill everyone to make this chick notice me. Nah. And we know the movie was a two parter originally. but it still does not change the fact that it was written for cheap deaths and to shock people. Oh no spider man was killed this sucks. of wait. never mind. he is back. false alarm. Given Dr. Strange, it was the time stone, the one of 6 super rocks that were specifically stated to grant unnatural powers. I would expect it to do that, but if they decided. "Man eveything bad that happened to me. lets rewrite it with time travel.", it does not give a movie tension or stakes. It makes it dull.
Again, being from the comic does not automatically make it great writing. Lest we look to the gun carrying santa superman for inspiration.
I still stand that it was poorly written to give false weight to the stakes at hand. Movie would have been much better without the time travel and honestly would have been better if everyone snap stayed dead. Means they would have had gumption on what they were actually writing. As is, it is just a comicbook movie. and not a very good one.
It would have been very stupid for their business to permanently kill off all the heroes that are to build up the future of the MCU (especially when one of them is mother ****ing Spider-Man, and Sony would not have allowed that to stay as a permanent death). Who cares if the knowingly deaths in the movie when the vast majority expects them all to come back but want to ignore overthinking an MCU movie in favor of just enjoying and loving what they've waited years for? If this was something like Logan, Joker, or TDK, then overthinking this all would make sense...but a movie that is an extremely massive crossover between all aspects of life? No
But hey, despite the complete differences, I can still respect the opinion you have cause opinions keeps us alive and stuff. So...yeah
I'll leave it at that
The idea of people LIKING motion controls and any of Nintendo’s other weird gimmicks is incomprehensible to me
it isn't really a shock. I mean...that's how the Wii was successful. And despite your opinion on them, their gimmicks is what makes people into their consoles. You can't say the 3DS isn't awesome to use in 3D (especially for games like Kid Icarus Uprising), or that the Wii wasn't packed with bangers...and obviously the Switch is the most advanced console out there in the gimmick department. And besides...PS5 and XSeX/S are already the same when it comes to how their systems function for the most part (4K, high graphics ****s, human games everywhere...tho Sony got Spidey and Xbox has Cheif), so Nintendo purposely being different of the rest adds in more variety
I actually really thought they were going to follow the comic with Nebula after she was one of the characters that survived.
but that would mean Nebula would have to end up on the dark side again...and she's gone through the best development out of all the Guardians...also she cuter than Gamora
