Ugh, the second I left Nebraska it started snowing, gonna take like three more hours to get to my folks now. It dropped to like 40॰ degrees so now stops are gonna be freezing.

I am so glad this trip will be almost over, it’s been one of the better trips all things considered but 12 hours on the road is 12 hours on the road.

I’m starting to get into a Castlevania kick while on my road trip. I never thought I’d be able to beat Castlevania lll after how long it took me to get past the first, but I actually managed to beat it tonight after a couple days of grinding it out.

I’m onto Super Castlevania IV now and the lower difficulty is like a breath of fresh air.

When THAT theme plays during the final fight of Super Castlevania 4, it is SUPER cathartic!

Welcome back to today's weekly Smash Bros/MTG crossover.
As you may or may not know, last character was Pit, who looked like this:

I also implied heavily implied stated that Dark Pit would be tied to Pit's mechanical design, as was done with Fox and Falco.
Here is what it looks like in practice:

At first, it was really difficult to reverse Pit, because I knew Dark Pit had to be Mono-Black, which doesn't lend itself well with costs of spells OR responding to opponents doing stuff to you. I thought it might be interesting to make it so that Dark Pit would incentivize you to do the things that Pit would disincentives you from doing, namely casting during other turns and attacking. However, Black and mana cost changes don't really go well together. I was able to find a solution in life, which could keep the 2 - 1 numbers symmetry while being within mono-Blacks color pie and being used as encouragement.

Next up, I will be making Zero Suit Samus. To find out whether I will derive my ideas entirely from Smash Bros or by briefly looking at the Metroid fan wiki, find out next time!

BotW is a wonderful game and is beautiful, but it definitely has its own warts and has framerate issues due to the Switch being already dated back when it released in 2017.

It wasn't meant as a slam against BotW, it was more calling out how the game people keep comparing Pokémon too ain't perfect either. Hope that makes sense, ha ha.
