So like, is there a reason why so many Japanese media makes their characters all at high school age, but then try to appeal to adults by adult topics and fanservice and such?


Like, I'm kinda lost on that.

Dude I gave up on questioning it a long time ago.

I can't remember where I heard it exactly but a part of the reason is to do with Buddhist or Shintoist traditions in the country and how high school age is like the last "pure" part of life before adulthood corrupts them. I read it somewhere honest to god but it's like a purity sort of thing is why they go for that age.

Or maybe some are just perverts. Who knows.

Stephen Fry is definitely another good choice. Now that you mention him he would provide a good faux British voice given Lord Pigot Dunceby in Laika's The Missing Link.

I'd be fine with either, him or Benedict Cumberbatch.

I vowed myself to stop paying attention to politics after the last US Election but keep getting drawn into it.

I hate politics, it's depressing and an endless tug-of-war. Local stuff like helping out with the council? Fine.
