I don’t give a **** about TLOU even after being forced to play both games, but…I absolutely laughed over that big controversial moment that whether you spoil or not still pisses people off more than a bad wrestling moment and enraged people harder than the Ralph Bohner reveal or the good ol Martha moment

I mean I have Steve McQueen: Firefighter Extreme, though I’ll look into the other ones though. Rivet I was debating if she’d be an alt or her own character, but I didn’t
Isn't Rosco McQueen third-party

Reports of Nintendo's planned involvement in the Olympics leaked.

There was a problem fetching the tweet
Whilst I'm still happy to hear a couple of video game medleys during the Opening Ceremony, I would had loved to hear some Nintendo themes in there too.

But then again due to the pandemic, there had to be a lot of adjustments and many aspects were not included. If the pandemic did not exist, then I am pretty sure that we could had seen the likes of Nintendo being involved.

To this day, I still can't figure out what was the issue with TLOU2. Like, was it the reviews? Naughty Dog themselves? Was the game not fun? Was it Abby?
From what i've seen most of the hubbub was BIG SPOILERS: They Kill off Joel which got Gamers™ upset Abby and Ellie being the main characters really didn't help and the news of Naughty Dog crunching really hard just lead to a perfect storm of vitriol.

Now I’m not 100% on this, but from what I read I think people had issues with the story. They didn’t like what they did with Joel, Ellie, and Abby especially is controversial. And I can understand being upset that the sequel to a story that you loved wasn’t ideal.

But then you also got the Reddit gamers who are just mad that Abby has muscle or something? Idk

To me, killing off Joel wasn’t the issue, he kinda had it coming considering the ending of the last game, but I think how they went about it is was extremely poorly handled. I mean it should work in setup, but I think with Abby committing so many sociopathic actions while trying to paint her in a morally ambiguous light, the fact that she had plenty of opportunities beforehand (one of which where he saved her life) and the overly gratuitous way it was handled, they botched it up in terms of execution. I don’t disagree Joel deserved comeuppance for his actions in the last game but how they handled it in Part 2 as well as Abby is just disappointing.

Now does this justify the consumers sending death threats to the voice actress (Laura Bailey) and her INFANT CHILD of all things?! HELL NO!!

They targeted gamers.

Gamers.

We're a group of people who will sit for hours, days, even weeks on end performing some of the hardest, most mentally demanding tasks. Over, and over, and over all for nothing more than a little digital token saying we did.

We'll punish our selfs doing things others would consider torture, because we think it's fun.

We'll spend most if not all of our free time min maxing the stats of a fictional character all to draw out a single extra point of damage per second.

Many of us have made careers out of doing just these things: slogging through the grind, all day, the same quests over and over, hundreds of times to the point where we know evety little detail such that some have attained such gamer nirvana that they can literally play these games blindfolded.

Do these people have any idea how many controllers have been smashed, systems over heated, disks and carts destroyed 8n frustration? All to latter be referred to as bragging rights?

These people honestly think this is a battle they can win? They take our media? We're already building a new one without them. They take our devs? Gamers aren't shy about throwing their money else where, or even making the games our selves. They think calling us racist, mysoginistic, (redacted) apologists is going to change us? We've been called worse things by prepubescent 10 year olds with a ****ty head set. They picked a fight against a group that's already grown desensitized to their strategies and methods. Who enjoy the battle of attrition they've threatened us with. Who take it as a challange when they tell us we no longer matter. Our obsession with proving we can after being told we can't is so deeply ingrained from years of dealing with big brothers/sisters and friends laughing at how pathetic we used to be that proving you people wrong has become a very real need; a honed reflex.

Gamers are competative, hard core, by nature. We love a challange. The worst thing you did in all of this was to challange us. You're not special, you're not original, you're not the first; this is just another boss fight.

Yeah I agree with a lot of this, I was just saying why I thought the large Vocal Outrage about the game came about, and those tend to ignore most legitimate complaints and go straight to the easiest targets.
