I found out that Star Trek: The Original Series is on Netflix, so I'm going to watch some of that. It was strange to watch the pilot episode, where all of the characters (aside from Spock) were completely different (Captain Christopher Pike instead of Captain James Kirk, for example). Still, it was entertaining, and the show seems like a big piece of sci-fi history that I've missed until now. (I've only seen some of the Star Trek movies - 2, 4, 6, and the reboot movies)

If you want an honest answer, it's far more digestable when it's in an image form rather then a lot of text. Even though it's the same idea, the picture in this case is literally worth 1000 words.
