I agree with Eric on that one. I am happy that so many BAD R.O.B mains have set the stereotype for R.O.B so that when we play no one is 100% ready.

Also Apple Jelly..... O-o wasn't expecting that... Nice R.O.B, scared me there.
You calling me bad?!

Also no offense, but I watched your match with ESAM, and I saw way more spotdodge d-smash than I would have liked. What was worse is that it hit him like every time.

euro rob? i thought i was alone ^.^
oh wait...were you at dogusch?
also, try not to rush so much against ike, he's going to punish a reckless approach more than most of the cast

I still hate the Ike MU. I still lose to Meneil and Kirk all the time. I didn't get out of pools last weekend because of Meneil. :(

Yay! euro robs! you plan on going apex?

No, I only went to French tournaments. My last tourney is the WWS where I went 7th o:
i see. well done on the placement!

Yes, Ike is difficult to approach with his long range, I will try to be more careful.
indeed, also jumping towards him is a bad idea if ike is grounded, be a little skittish with approaching, using Ftilt, Dtilt and B-air untill he puts himself in a position to be punished.

why must you call me a bad rob? im simply pretty bad at technicalities (at the moment) so i avoid going aggro a lot of the time

OMG GUYS!! I DIDN'T MEAN ALL OF YOU!!! RAWR!!!

@Zwarm: Well I guess... It worked didn't it? I hate doing it but R.O.B was made for it. And don't think I am bad for doing what I did. ESAM is still ESAM. The MU is a -1 for R.O.B...... O-o

"It worked" is fine for now.
But try to think about long term, 8-bit.

8bit only meant me when he said bad ROB.

The fact that it was working makes it a non issue, the question is does he try the same thing when it DOESN'T work.

M00T!!!! LOVE YOU!! AND NO I DIDN'T MEAN THAT!!!! RAWR!!!

And I meant that it works when you catch your opponent off guard. If you keep doing it then that's just BAD. But it is definitely something R.O.B should do if you're in a tight situation. For most people it is instinct. That is when it has become a bad habit.

W/e I could go on and on and on and on and on.... But I don't want to start another argument. =P

okay first of all
8bit how are you gonna lose to fyre. come on man.

2nd off
spotdodge dsmash sucks. it works very rarely, but I guess the rewards fair enough.

3rd off
dont start the hate train on camping.
heres the difference between camping/aggro gameplay as far as y'all are talking about it

camping: low risk/low reward (eg. laser, gyro)
aggro: high risk/high reward (eg. nair, any time you're not on the opposite side of the stage from your opponent)

ROB has ways to minimize risk on his attacks (generally with up b or gyro assistance) that lead to "aggro" play being more valuable since it shifts to medium risk/high reward

however

there are certainly times when you want your low risk attacks being thrown out.
and vice-versa.

so don't constrict yourself to one type of gameplay/style. even mentally (what I mean is, you 'consider' yourself more aggro for example). because there is no right or wrong in smash. there are just different options that you need to consider at different times, and the key to being a good player is using the right option when its necessary.

8bit, I never said you're bad because you spotdodge d-smash, but you shouldn't do it as much, even if it works on ESAM for whatever reason.

And thank you Stingers.

Stingers is absolutely right.
But I still can't but say that I'm usually one way more than the other, whether it's the right way or not :p

Figure out when to interchange.

Well I actually barely Spot Dodge. A lot has changed since then. And That isn't my whole play style. It was just one set. =/

**** Pit. Seriously, one of the hardest MU's ever. He can spotdodge/shield all of our tilts and down smash.

indeed, if we can force him to use his up-b offstage we should kill them. if we dont get the gimp from that then the rob player should just drop the pad

Fair out spaces our bair when timed correctly. Also, be wary when coming back on stage, as his fair beats EVERYTHING non projectile related. It's hard, if not damn near impossible to get back on stage without taking like 20%. Of he shields downsmash he gets a free bair and don't forget back throw to dash attack is guaranteed.
