YES! I need as much help as you guys can give me. When I pick up a controller to play Brawl, I'm only fixated on playing Snake, and Snake only. I don't even think I'll get around to a serious secondary.

We need to make this Saturday what Espy's smashfest was really meant to be: a serious smashfest with positive productivity.

Btw, how did I place higher than other folks when I've only entered one tourney? :(
Yeah, 'nuff of my fail Snake and fail Falcon, my Diddy needs kinks to work out off. Flaws need to be identified.

My guess is since everyone starts at 1600, a low placing in tourney lowers the score. Since you only attended once, you're not brought down far. Unlike me where I tend to be a first round eliminated the past few tourneys or whatever term used.

I hate Wifi Brawl matches so much. Why can't there be no lag and everyone can be happy playing online with one and other competitively.

So let's take a look at how San Antonio has done in the new updated Texas PR.

6. Espy - 1745.990
18. K-Prime - 1659.276
28. Morningstar - 1626.897
33. Santi - 1621.471
51. Suspect - 1603.419

Seems accurate enough. Although Santi beat Morningstar at Pikanik, Morningstar has attended more tournies and won against Van Jones and other pretty good ppl. (LOL at Suspect ALMOST in top50)

Congrats to those players for being above the neutral mark (1600) and especially Espy for placing top10.

Now how about the rest of us?

F Tier - Everyone below the starting point (1600 (not a good thing))

KoN! - 1599.160
CASTRO - 1596.876
Brax - 1596.263
Big Papi - 1594.924
Pyledriver - 1594.822
Nike 20 - 1593.069
Boss - 1591.444
Anti - 1590.863
Kyro - 1588.494
geoberos - 1588.467
Kdawg - 1588.345
Soul - 1585.158
Speed X - 1584.995
Zook - 1578.276
Paw - 1575.922
Tofer - 1574.203
GreyFox - 1568.717
JUJ - 1538.159

I don't need to point out the flaws in this because there painfully obvious. However, I do want to point out that the only way to move up from F-Tier is to beat players in the other tiers. It's a harsh reality, but there's only 5 players in our city that you can beat to get yourself above 1600. Victories against me, Castro, PyleDriver, or Paw mean basically nothing to to the Texas PR (although it's the complete opposite in our our own SAPR).

Those are not good odds for us.

I for one am disgusted that almost our entire city is in the list of first round exits.

Therefore I think we should stop saying "let's step it up guys!" and actually do it. Translated, we need to attend as many OoC tournies as possible. No point in playing each other if it won't help our odds of moving up. There's a half dozen people who just recently got into this game that are getting good. It wouldn't take long before they start upsetting people in the coming weeks (Steakfest3?). As great as that sounds, we gotta prove it outside SA because nobody else really takes us seriously.

It's not bad for me being in the F- tier because im still a newcomer lol that has been to 3 offline tournies now.. So yeah its not bad a wifi sonic got placed in not soo low tier kinda halfway or a little above in F-tier. and b4 anyone says it... I'm not espy jr lol.. im just Speed X doin my thang.

Lol, well someone else finally gets the picture. So are you, Nike, really ready to risk money to goto OoC events every month? I know I am, have you seen my MM list? I have just about all of Austin, and some of Houston.

If only I can play against Espy, I would be set.

@Paw-: As long as Santi is still on the TX PR, I might not go anywhere. =/ Yes I know I lied who gives a mouses behind.

Kami: MM you? With a #2 MK on your state? Boy you are smoking something heavy cause that's suicide as Zelda. Maybe if you were someone else.

Krime: Hey man, no sweat. Do what you have to. We will have our MM another day. That's just johns for me having another day before you kill me in the MM. x.x

i have a few points i would like to say/ask

A) Why does it matter if Santi is on the PR or not? >_>

B) SOUNDS LIKE SOMEONE SCARED

C) (unrelated to greyfox) Espy and Suspect just won doubles

nike says hes having it some time after the con tournament is over.

from the looks of it, the only people going to the tournament are espy, suspect, nike, and greyfox. (from smashboards)

but then again, you could easily place top 2-3 and make some profit

I'll be there at nike's, I have missed way too much in the scene.

Also, Nike called Greyfox not retiring so hard. I still have the text from Nike that said not to think anything about Greyfox leaving.

Look at that number one comment. Pure win.

Kami: You'll probably find more competition at Nike's on Saturday, if you're able to stay that long. However, you MAY be able to profit from the San Japan tournaments (if you enter both doubles and singles and win considerable amounts of money), including the cost to get in on both of those days (and Sunday if you wanna go also just for the con).

If anything else, you can meet us up at San Japan on Friday (assuming you NEED to leave Saturday, or something), and play a little with me, Suspect, and Greyfox.

@Prime: Having to pay $40 for the weekend fee will do that to you, especially if you're just going for the tournament. We understand pretty well.

It'll suck not having you there though. ;-;
It's all good. I'll be seeing you at ALS. Or any recent Smashfests...
Once I get my car's inspection sticker. ;-;

I'll see Greyfox, Kyle, and Suspect tomorrow, at the least. <3

Lobo, you're going? Man, I knew someone would show up to cause furry mischief with me since Espy is on gameroom house arrest. XD

Also, about the srs bzness: Ganon may not seem like a challenge for you guys, but I bet I can teach people to not **** up against him. lol

I'm completely down for serious play.

RGV, Kingsvile, and SA need to play against each other more often
