Did any of you find the spy?
I couldn't see him through the mass of fur.

@Prime: You saw that terribly done Buizel too, right?

That furry with the hat is Tony Tony Chopper (One Piece), K Prime.
Very poorly done, to add to this.

But I love Chopper.

Found him. That's totally awesome.

It's officially done. At the cost of 2 tv's (one of the small ones I take everywhere and one of the 25 inch silver ones), I have the back room for more space for smashfests.

This saturday night I'm gonna hold a big smashfest. Most ppl won't be going to San Japan. As soon as singles is over on saturday I'll pack up and head home. Then I'll text everyone/post here to come over.

For everyone who is planning on bringing a TV to San Japan, please come by the hotel between 4pm and 10 pm to drop off the TVs.

Directions and other info is at San-Japan.org

We'll be there. Around what time do you think it'll start? (If ya had to guess)

I need as much practice as I can get before SF3, so I can pull some upset wins in the tourney.

KoN, do you want a ride over there?

All right, then I got you on Steakfest 3 and whatever else afterward.

EDIT: @Pyledriver That vidya made me cry inside. If that was me, I'd remind her why she's hated in China and dump her ugly ***!

So let's take a look at how San Antonio has done in the new updated Texas PR.

6. Espy - 1745.990
18. K-Prime - 1659.276
28. Morningstar - 1626.897
33. Santi - 1621.471
51. Suspect - 1603.419

Seems accurate enough. Although Santi beat Morningstar at Pikanik, Morningstar has attended more tournies and won against Van Jones and other pretty good ppl. (LOL at Suspect ALMOST in top50)

Congrats to those players for being above the neutral mark (1600) and especially Espy for placing top10.

Now how about the rest of us?

F Tier - Everyone below the starting point (1600 (not a good thing))

KoN! - 1599.160
CASTRO - 1596.876
Brax - 1596.263
Big Papi - 1594.924
Pyledriver - 1594.822
Nike 20 - 1593.069
Boss - 1591.444
Anti - 1590.863
Kyro - 1588.494
geoberos - 1588.467
Kdawg - 1588.345
Soul - 1585.158
Speed X - 1584.995
Zook - 1578.276
Paw - 1575.922
Tofer - 1574.203
GreyFox - 1568.717
JUJ - 1538.159

I don't need to point out the flaws in this because there painfully obvious. However, I do want to point out that the only way to move up from F-Tier is to beat players in the other tiers. It's a harsh reality, but there's only 5 players in our city that you can beat to get yourself above 1600. Victories against me, Castro, PyleDriver, or Paw mean basically nothing to to the Texas PR (although it's the complete opposite in our our own SAPR).

Those are not good odds for us.

I for one am disgusted that almost our entire city is in the list of first round exits.

Therefore I think we should stop saying "let's step it up guys!" and actually do it. Translated, we need to attend as many OoC tournies as possible. No point in playing each other if it won't help our odds of moving up. There's a half dozen people who just recently got into this game that are getting good. It wouldn't take long before they start upsetting people in the coming weeks (Steakfest3?). As great as that sounds, we gotta prove it outside SA because nobody else really takes us seriously.

I'm not on that list, but I don't think I've ever placed last in any Brawl tournament I've ever entered.

And I haven't even begun to get really serious. I'm probably entering San Japan this weekend, maybe Steakfest as well.

I need some serious exp against Snake, I don't know what to do against him at all.

Nike, it's just not OoC tournaments that need to happen.
Serious practice also needs to get done.

No goofing off. No randoms. No nothing.
Go your mains, play out sets. Play to win.

Most importantly, COMMUNICATION. You NEED to tell the person you played what they were doing wrong that allowed you to punish. You need to discuss what you can do to better your chances at winning, as well as what to do to advance your understanding of counter picks, and of your own character.

Getting experience outside of one's own town is only a small part of improvement.
It takes much more than that to get better.

espys got a point when he plays with me and Big Boss we hang on his every word. i've learned pretty much everything about brawl from espy and also nike too.

we're all just gonna have to learn from each other and play a lot more.

You won't get better if you just sandbag constantly.
Yes, that includes me and my sandbagging by not picking Sonic in friendlies.

YES! I need as much help as you guys can give me. When I pick up a controller to play Brawl, I'm only fixated on playing Snake, and Snake only. I don't even think I'll get around to a serious secondary.

We need to make this Saturday what Espy's smashfest was really meant to be: a serious smashfest with positive productivity.

Btw, how did I place higher than other folks when I've only entered one tourney? :(
