I remember hearing something about Nintendo wanting Retro to make a new Metroid. I could be completely wrong though.hey guys if Sakurai is waiting for specific games to come out before revealing certain characters do you think that means there'll be a new Metroid game coming out soon

Doubt it, by the sounds of it it's only in the planning stages.hey guys if Sakurai is waiting for specific games to come out before revealing certain characters do you think that means there'll be a new Metroid game coming out soon

Step up, IMO.Besides isn't boss fight to stage hazard a step down.
I'll tell you, I've played Boss Battles more than I have battled on, say Distant Planet. That both comes from me having played Boss Battles a lot with friends, and the fact that I hate stages that are too gimmicky. If Ridley's a stage hazard, then I'll likely play Pyrosphere 1v1 willingly three or four times (discounting moments like in Classic where if forces you on the stage,) and then that's it, because I always choose the stages I find the most fair, aka Smashville, Yoshi's Story, Battlefield, FD, etc. If it's a 4 player free for all or just joke matches, then I'm all in on stage hazards, heck I don't even mind stage hazards like the pig guy on Bridge of Eldin, the Arwings on Corneria, or the simply lava rising in Brinstar in 1v1. But when the stage hazards are heavy, like Brinstar Depths, Distant Planet or Spear Pillar, then I don't want to play them, at least not 1v1. I'm sure we can agree that if Ridley's a stage hazard, then he'll cause some serious trouble.Only NERDS ban stages, and anyway how would that be any different than Ridley being tucked away in some boring mode you only ever want to play once.
As part of the stage you get to appreciate him more often.
My only problem if Ridley became a Boss once again is all the people who are going to jump on the "Sakurai see Ridley as a Boss, so he will stay a Boss" train. If Ridley isn't a character yet again, then I'd like it the most if he became a boss again, and hopefully a little more mobile this time around.
That's true, but if Ridley misses this game I'm not really counting on him in the future, so might as well make the best of it.My only problem if Ridley became a Boss once again is all the people who are going to jump on the "Sakurai see Ridley as a Boss, so he will stay a Boss" train.
If he don't make the cut I would like to see him become an Assist Trophy personally, it's one of the only position who people see as a positive one, it's still use in favor of characters like Little Mac, Samurai Goroh or other Waluigi. That's true, but if Ridley misses this game I'm not really counting on him in the future, so might as well make the best of it.
Looking at the screenshots, Pyrosphere looks like yet another Metroid riding/falling acid/lava stage. So even if Ridley isn't involved, I'm betting there's still going to be some hazard like that.I really hope there's no hazard on Pyrosphere at all, no hazard in any shape or form, not only for Ridley's sake, but because I'd love to have this stage played often, especially since its long width means that Samus will excel on it. If Ridley isn't a character yet again, then I'd like it the most if he became a boss again, and hopefully a little more mobile this time around.
That'd just be super awkward to me. An assist trophy can't be too big unless it goes into the background, because otherwise it'll bug extremely much on stages like Luigi's Mansion. So that means that either he'd fly into the background, which would be odd for Ridley to do since he always goes head first into battle, but it's still a possibility, or he could be scaled down, which begs the question why he wasn't playable to begin with. For Metroid I think characters like Anthony just screams AT, or they could just keep the Metroid AT which is already the funniest AT to use since it screws people up so much.If he don't make the cut I would like to see him become an Assist Trophy personally, it's one of the only position who people see as a positive one, it's still use in favor of characters like Little Mac, Samurai Goroh or other Waluigi.
Ridley could even bring something new by being the first Assist trophy to attack everyone regardless of who summon him.
In Other M the lava was ever flowing too, but the lava never rose in that battle either. The lava hazard idea begs the same question as the Ridley hazard idea, if it's true then why hasn't it been shown by now? Of course it's not out of question, especially not since the platforms on the stage seem to fit well with a lava stage. Even if it'd be a bit dissapointing it'd still be better than hazard Ridley.Looking at the screenshots, Pyrosphere looks like yet another Metroid riding/falling acid/lava stage. Whispy Woods is one of the most recurring Kirby characters.Playable >>>>>> Assist Trophy > Boss > Stage Hazard Because Cresselia and Whispy Woods are so important to their series. 9_9
Whispy Woods is a viable character also.
Okay, that's about enough of that people.Ridley/Whispy Woods tag team for Smash 4!
Stage hazard is in insult personally as well as the boss battle bit, it feels like sakurai is popping off at Ridley fans...Whispy Woods and Kraid should be a tag team, since ya know, they're both not very mobile.
I guess if it makes other Ridley fans feel any better, if he's a stage hazard, all those hating on him will fall prey to him when he kills them as a hazard at one point or another. So in the end, Ridley would still have his revenge in a way.
No... it really doesn't help...Whispy Woods and Kraid should be a tag team, since ya know, they're both not very mobile.

Not even if you were to play against someone you know here or somewhere to be a Ridley hater and lead them to their doom (towards Ridley) on Pyrosphere? That would be satisfying for me at the very least, if I can't play as him.No... it really doesn't help...
I was expecting time constraints to defeat my old Brawl main, but his appearance doesn't have any impact on Ridley in my book. I still say if Ridley is in the background of that stage, he will not be playable. This doesn't change my views on his chances since I was expecting Toon Link anyway, but anyone who didn't will probably change their perception of Ridley because of it. It certainly helps our arguments for him, at least.
The troll face makes me think you're trolling.
I never thought he was going to be.So people here now think Ridley is going to be a stage hazard or not?
At this point, I have faith that's he not.So people here now think Ridley is going to be a stage hazard or not?
