I know that very few people read this thread, but I'd really like to see a Giratina Spear Pillar with an actual rigged Giratina, new textures that actually fit and maybe some Platinum-inspired graphical effects. The one we have right now is rather lacklustre and doesn't really go with the awesome (though contradictory) Reshiram and Zekrom spear pillars I have.

Alternatively, a Kyurem one would be cool if we have the model.

Now, I don't know how character imports work exactly, but... if it's what I'm guessing (somehow getting the character model from the game in question, putting it in Brawl Box and applying the texture to a character)...

I would love to see an Ocarina of Time 3D Link, Ganondorf, Sheik, and Zelda, over... well, Link, Ganondorf, Sheik, and Zelda.

From Skyward Sword, I would love to see Ghirahim's final form over Ike (with his huge sword he takes out during the very last phase) and Ganondorf (with, if possible, his huge sword available to use upon the Down Taunt). I would also love to see Demise over Ganondorf, and of course, Link over... Link. That is, the proper Skyward Sword Link.

I have seen a few Ghirahim imports already in the vault, over Sheik and Marth...

Various character imports from Fire Emblem: Radiant Dawn would also be good to see, such as Vanguard Ike.

Hey guys I am a Brawl Researcher and I was wondering if someone can give me a lead on my stage idea or possibly make a request. I basically need the stages broken down into a grid like structure for measuring and research purposes. So say as FD is 295 x 480 I would go with a 20x32 grid but that is for FD only, perhaps having a universal factor by the average of all stages would be beneficial to have some kind of control?
FD = 295 x 480
SV = 295 x 440
BF = 295 x 460
a factor of 20 should be sufficient for what I am working with. I need make a stage of 15x22,23,24 blocks for SV BF and FD, I was also thinking maybe tetris squares or something available in the stage builder (which I will check out soon) so it may be easier on the eyes. I will use this stage for recording as well as assessing replays, so any feedback and criticism will be appreciated.

Pretty much stripping the stage of its facade and down into measurable blocks. If someone can help or lead me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated ^_^

Y'know what I hate? When there's a really nice Zelda texture, but no Sheik to go with it. I may just be OCD, but I like Zeldas and Sheiks that complement eachother.
On that note, does anyone have or can easily make a Kafei hack over Sheik to go with Anju zelda?

My last request was ignored, but maybe someone will do this request.
It is rather difficult(I would assume, I don't actually know how to do this kind of stuff, I just use pre-made things), but if put on the Vault, it would probably get a heck of a lot of downloads, because I sincerely doubt I'm the only one looking for this kind of thing.
It would basically require a moveset hack for 3 different characters, but a pretty small one, changing only one move.
That's right! I'm requesting new Down Bs for Squirtle, Ivysaur, and Charizard; so you can play as them, say, off the css with them seperate, y'know... seperately.
It might also have to somehow remove the terrible stamina thing.
If you need ideas, here's a few, although I've no idea how simple/difficult they are... and if you don't want to use these, go ahead and use your own. They seemed pretty simple to me, and based on moves in the pokemon games that these pokemon can actually learn.

Squirtle's new Down B could be Iron Defense. Basically, he'd withdraw into his shell and then become metal. Sounded simple to me, but I could be wrong.

Ivysaur's new Down B could be Leech Seed. He'd... shoot some kind of seed(Maybe a retexured Deku Nut could be used in a pinch) forward, and if it connects, the foe gets a flower head. If there's some weird way to also make Ivysaur recover damage at the same rate as the flower does it, that'd be very neat and more true to the games.

Charizard's could be Earthquake, which could easily work exactly like a slower version of Donkey Kong's Down B.


Also... if anyone wouldn't mind doing that Kafei over Sheik thing, it'd be VERY neat...

How has this not been done for Pit? He has the twin swords (which could be texture-hacked into Kanshou and Bakuya), including his bow. And change the color of the arrows to red for Hrunting.

It's an injustice, and I'm not good enough at texture hacking to do it myself. All I request, for anyone who knows Archer from Fate/Stay Night well enough, is to make a texture hack for him. Not vertex or anything, just a really awesome alternate color scheme if anything that best resembles him.

Seriously, best thing ever. Feeling creative? Make the Final Smash the background of Unlimited Blade Works or something.

I really want to see a PSA of Charles Barkley, as he appears in Barkley, Shut Up And Jam: Gaiden.

N: Free Throw. Tosses a b-ball with minor homing. Think Sonic, but only in front and not as accurate. Hold the button down long enough, and it becomes a pass, which travels in a high arc, making it hard to hit opponents, but deals high damage.
S: Vampslam. A short and controlled slam dunk that heals Barkley if it hits.
U: Showboat Jam. Hits multiple times, and can stun briefly when used on the ground.
D: Double Team. He sends out a transparent clone of himself a short distance, and if it hits anyone he hits them from both sides with basketballs.
FS: Chaos Dunk. A trapping final smash, like the Great Aether.

@Tesh: Get a program called BrawlBox. Blackjax version is the most recent so far, and it's in the general hacking portion. Only, the Brawl vault is down right now, so nothing can be done, however, you can find someone's hack for their cusom css, download it, and move the models inside accordingly. Other than that, you'll have to search and find out the hard way since this topic is nearly abandoned.

@latias: check the tutorial portion. You should be able to find your info after digging around a bit. But almost all sound files are kept in one file, the problem is knowing what file that is. I used to know what it was, but if you can't find anything, go to the brawlvault (once it's back up) and find a file where someone else has replaced a character's sound files. open it in brawlbox and see what they did. That's how I got most of my knowledge.

@Swei: You need to say what your request is, and post cool looking pics about it. This thread is not really to help you out, it's to give the hackers an idea of what to do.
But textures are the easiest thing to do, so if you have even an iota of skill at using paint, you should be able to cobble something passable up... unless there is no precedent for your request and you have to do it by hand. Again, find brawlbox, find the file w/ the texture you need in it, and replace the pictures inside w/ the ones you want. They're kinda garbled looking, but they're just like a puzzle: find what goes where and change it to what you want.

I haven't done any hacking in a long while, so I can't say exactly.
If you have a css file though, all you have to do is find the model files for the icons. once you find those, there should either be values to the right, inside the tree for the file info, or find the corresping files w/ the same names as the css files.

Also, if you find the model file, you can right click it and view it. try changing the values for it, see what happens there.

Really tho,just go in and look around. save a backup of the file, and work off of a secondary, changing little stuff and then popping it into your wii to find out what it did. eventually you'll figure it out. That's how I did stuff. My road to hacking well is long and difficult, but you tend to really understand afterwards.

All I did was screw up my CSS background. Can't figure out how to move anything else. Hoping someone can point me in the right direction again.

The "tree" with the 70 nodes, moving them around seems to do....nothing.

i just want some op characters. Like Hyper sonic, but ones for ..

@Photos, I actually searched through some threads until I found that css maker program thing. It turned out I was screwing with the wrong values but this program makes it so easy. I just wish there was one for the stage screen too.
