Can survive many hits from your attacks even after Slow Start wears off. Brick Break always breaks your substitute. Curse makes me even stronger.

Well, it's not fast enough...not nearly...

However, that is unimportant. Regardless of Rivalry's effect you happen to OHKO me and survive 2 DPulses or Edges. The only way I'd win is if a got a crit on either one, but that's not very reliable--so your counter's good to go.
