Well, if they hadn't given a cooler name for Rayquaza's ability, it wouldn't have been legendary (or something.)

Also, Lanturn wouldn't pop up so often if we could just STOP USING BOLTBEAM FOR EVERYTHING. If your hand gets countered easily, cut it off!

Anywho, versus Mantine:

Kecleon w/Choice Band
(+Sp. Def. -Sp. Atk.)/Color Change
255 Atk./ 255 Def.
+ Thunderpunch
+ Dynamicpunch
+ Shadow Ball
+ Trick
Assuming that you use Haze...I get no STAB.
I think Platypus brought up a good point, everyone keeps using bolt/beam and ghost/fighting for coverage. While there is nothing wrong with that, it kind of stagnates the metagame here. So anywho idk if any of you guys have ever used an attack type analyser, but I use it alot for here in "The Counter Game". Basically you can put in an attack type combination, and it will list all of the pokemon that resist that combination. It helps alot when trying to counter a previous pokemon's moveset, and coming up with an unresisted moveset combo of your own. Hopefully providing some unique counters. I used it to counter a Sarpedo with a Surskit after all! So.....let's all get really creative people.

Here's the one I use in case anyone is interested:

http://www.psypokes.com/dex/atktypeanalysis.php

I like it alot for team building purposes as well.

Hey UUUser,
Yeah there's been an unofficial rule change here to only use BL and below pokes. Judging by your name you should enjoy it. Welcome to the PC by the way. Hope you enjoy your time here. Everyone here save a select few rare posters, and some n00bs is really nice. Anywho Peace Out.

My first attempt at making a counter without using any other websites. Pretty sad that I don't already do that, but whatever, I'm dependent on the internet XD.

EQ OHKOs and all of you attacks can only 3HKO or more.
Waits to see next counter

all ground attacks on this flygon?
Try this:
butterfree@sash
252 spe / 252 sp.at timid
bug buzz
hp:ice
sleep powder
psychic

Flying type protects butterfree from all ground attacks. hp:ice to rid flygon.

More specifically, it's permitted only if it has no application to the current counter, but to its counter, as a OHKO would mean death without it.

Against Butterless:

Rapidash w/Leftovers
(+Atk. -Def.)/Flash Fire
100 Atk./ 155 Sp. Atk./ 255 Sp. Def.
+ Flare Blitz
+ HP Water
+ Hypnosis
+ Fury Attack

~Swords Dance

Gets 4HKO'd by HP Water, which leaves enough time to wake up if hit by Hypnosis (considering I have 1 more Speed point than you :)) and OHKO with Waterfall or Stone Edge. Brick Break to cover those who take little from Fall or Edge. SwordSalac to be a bit more devastating.

He's talking about Toxicroak...which, by the way, is not a counter to my Kabutops.
Even with the Defense EVs, Croak still gets 2HKO'd by Waterfall. I'm faster, so no counter...

Fepic Ailure!!!!

Please try again later...

by berolenn... that looks like 'breloom' to me, not toxicroak.

edit: or at least when I first saw 'berolenn' that it at first looked like breloom. Then I notice Dry Skin (and I think poison move) which immediately implies Toxicroak. I didn't notice that at first.

I could tell instantly it was a Toxicroak. How? Name me another Pokemon that has access to Dry Skin. Parasect. But Parasect can't learn those attacks, so it HAS to be Toxicroak. Anyways, thanks, you guys gave me an idea!

HOLD ON!!!! HOLD ON!!!!

BACK IT UP!!!!

First off: Dry Skin does not allow the absorption of Water attacks, it is merely a double-edged Rain Dish ability (it damages in Sunlight).
Second: Kabutops has yet to be countered.

May we continue where we left off, then?

Just so you can see it clearly...

Counter away, friends...

EDIT: Oh yeah, that Volbeat is not a counter, either. OHKO Stone Edge lol =P

Although I've never seen in-game proof, it is my belief that the ability Dry Skin causes Paras(ect)/Croagunk/Toxicroak the benefits of Rain Dish and Water Absorb, but reverses the effect with regard to Strong Sunlight and Fire-type attacks, respectively. In other words, it's a dually strong ability with heavy tradeoffs.

On a semi-related note, I'm curious as to how one can breed moves onto a Volbeat.

Against the space Western:

Sunflora w/Muscle Band
(+Atk -Speed)/Solar Power
255 Atk/150 Sp. Atk./105 Sp. Def.
+ Sunny Day
+ Solarbeam
+ Return
+ HP Electric
I am so glad that you eschewed Signal Beam.

My bad, but you are correct. If I had known that, I woulda slapped Aerial Ace on it instead of Brick Break

Yeah, I have a thing for Swords Dance...so sue me...

I'm 3HKO'd by SolarBeam when Sunny Day is up (because of Solar Power), and 3HKO'd by Return. Whereas I 2HKO you with Ice Shard, and have SD to back me up. Seed Bomb for strong STAB, and Brick Break for coverage.

Beastly defense that resists both of your stab moves. Amnesia to improve the poor special defense. Toxic for non-steels, Heatwave for steels, HP ground as the best option against fires.

I must move with haste, I think!

After Skill Swap, I am immune to your assaults. Assuming that you use Psych Up first, I shouldn't take too much damage thereof.
