Falco? Important to the story...?
ok not falco but since hes already been in brawl and hes very popular i count him as more important than wolf. my bad i should have pointed that out

And I wonder why he became so popular...

I laugh at people who want Falco back, but with the same moveset he had in melee, or only a few moves changed. I seriously do.

Two do-gooders and a villan >>>>>>>>>> Three do-gooders.

Wolf can be given a unique moveset but it is going to take an imagination. Whether it would be a sniper rifle, land mines, duel wielding, or gernades, Wolf would have a unique moveset because Nintendo has the imagination and the creativity to do so.

Just curious, anyone ever bring up the Snake rule? Snake can't use his weapons and such? Not trying to get to a point, just need the question answered.

Snake still has his rocket launcher. As long as Wolf doesn't use any weapons with bullets, there shouldn't be any problems with him having a moveset that revolves mainly around weapons from Assault.

among the figments of your imagination
After much consideration, we decided to have Snake refrain from using real-world guns—instead, he'll use lots of explosives.
From: Old Dojo, Snake's character page

The rule only applies to: "real-world guns" and furthermore -if one choses- can only be applied to Snake. Since nothing from StarFox is "real-world", the development is free to use whatever is at their disposal, guns knifes, brass knuckles whatever. I've always believed the StarFox series is the best option to use weapons of a similar nature to our bullet-firing real-world guns, without crossing the line. It allows the representatives in Brawl to further deviate from other characters and thus be more unique.

I don't get the whole real world guns being out... I've seen them in T games... OF COURSE, Snake isn't from a T game though.

I never took that to mean guns wouldn't be in Brawl, just that Snake was possibly a much more interesting character without them. Having a regular pistol or machine gun would really kill the magic of Brawl.

I don't even like the idea of real-world firearms in video games... I mean, FPS's like Metroid Prime 3 are okay because it's so fictional. But games like Metal Gear Solid where you can just shoot everyone around you... O_O

Anyone ever hear of Doom and two certain murderers from that time? There ya go.

But that's off topic. Wolf without gunpowder rifle pl0x.

(Never thought I'd say pl0x...)

@Patinator: I don't know why they should limit the creativity of a designer because I few kids don't like guns.

But Sakurai is (Obviously) trying to target family audiences (And disregard the fans in most cases) so he wont be adding realistic violence

Well, that's just me, motsa.

You're right, Sakurai's targeting a larger audience. But still, you must admit: Mario with a gunpowder weapon... O_O

...Mario's Grand Theft Auto...

I like keeping real world guns out.

A) Do we really want guns in smash?
B) Do we really NEED guns in smash?
C) It does make snake more diversified, although i would've liked to see a tranquilizer.
D) It guarantees the game to bo no higher than T. Which, I'm sure in most of our cases we can buy M games. I can. But that isn't the audience intended for smash.
E) Lasers are cooler, BECAUSE they AREN'T real.
