@ NRwC. I totally understand where your coming from but I was just making a positive comment instead of flaming the idea of Waliugi, as most people do. To say I would hope Goomba fans get what they want is just hyperbole. Seriously, that's all it was, a positive comment. I don't want this thread to turn into an analysis of my comments.

@ Red Maniac. I didn't see it when I posted. Taking a look at it I have to admit it doesn't really excite me.

I'm one of those people who actually likes Waluigi a lot. I used him in Mario Tennis 64, I used him in Mario Party 3, 4, 5 and 6 (didn't play 7), use him in Mario Kart DS and Double Dash, etc. Waluigi will be a sure shoe-in for SSBB. The way I see it, they'll pull the old "Well, we've got Mario, Luigi and Wario... may as well put Waluigi in."

Ehh you have a point there. They DID pull the old "Well, we've got Pichu, and Pikachu... may as well put Raichu in." Oh wait...

Pffft. Just because you used him in the filler games doesn't mean he's in.

And if something gets in the game then thats means something else doesn't... or there is a delay.

Now if one character gets in then another gets out (Or a lot of extra features) so remember not all fans can get what they want. It's always best to choose what you want and don't want... its what Sakurai is doing.

And biggie... no Toad is very different and is not as minor as a Chocobo not to mention the fact that he is first party and stuff.

Which is why a lot of people like to stick to the following points:

He's hardly an actual Mario character.
There are more deserving characters to choose from.

Chocobos are generic. Toads are Generic. They each have their seperate games not to mention CHocobo appears as filler in many games much like Toad. Who cares if he's Third Party? That's a minor detail, there should be at least 5 - 7 3rd party characters.


People don't care for Toad, because he's a Generic guy. He's like Goomba. He's not a finite guy like Mario or Luigi, because they're unique, and have important riles in several games, not to mention being the most recognizable gaming icons.


Toad is Peach's Move anyways. I'm not even going to get a picture, it's on Peach's update. Besides, No character has ever changed B moves during the change from 64 to Melee. Why should they do that now? 64 and Brawl will have quite a bit of similarities, much like not having Toad in either. Though, he has a bit of a chance for SSB4 that I'll admit.

Uhh I said Unique, pay more attention next time. Mario is a UNIQUE Guy. He's like some guy you could pick out of a crowd unique. Toad isn't, because there are more than one Toad! If Toad isn't a character, it's a race. There is no specific Toad!


Pikachu gets in for like I said, unique ness, and being Ash's Pikachu. Mewtwo gets in because he has a large fanbase and a kick *** attitude, not to mention there is only one in the anime. That was a temporary time for Link, IIRC.

So I've crushed al yoru arguements except for one. Well, what "Certain Toad" are you talking about? There is no singular toad to my knowledge. It would have been given a name and a different Color. Dare you bring up Yoshi, Yoshis on Yoshi island are different coloirs each. There has been the Green one to represent himself in the games, the green one is the actual Yoshi.

Also, your point about Yoshi doesn't stand. There are not only many Yoshis, but many green Yoshis. Plus, the Yoshi in SSB can be several different colors; green is just his main color. Because the Yoshi that is considered THE Yoshi happens to be green, as you said.
