Haha so notable wins is kinda funny, cause you can hilarious circles of bad notable players lol. Well Bob has notable wins on Carl, and Carl is a notable win because he regularly beats Steve, who has several notable wins on Nick, who has a 4-0 record with Rocko who wins every Iowa tournament!

i think OS idea is good, it requires less debate since it has clear cutoffs, but so did the pr thing i tried to do. we all see where that went
You stopped updating it and it became useless, thereby ruining the entire point of you even doing it? Yeah, I see where it went. =X

I'm so D ranked by OS's list. smh

i was just starting to get used to the system. u cant expect me to look at wat the SWF did and be able to make a perfect replica for MI alone all by myself on my first try. but no one gave me time to fix it, or offered to help me. they just kept sayin how it was useless, wrong, unneeded. some people also thought it was somethin the MI community could look forward to, but the haters were yellin over them, and i dont put forth energy for haters.

Just follow the grime...
You clearly don't put forth energy for the supporters either..

Stopping to perform a service that some people appreciate, just because a few people "yell louder" than they do means you couldn't have cared much about the people supporting you. At least not as much as you want to appease your haters.

I was doing something that i didnt have to do, out of the goodness of my heart. the people who gave support werent upset when i stopped(except tutu :denzel:) and i didnt have to worry about naysayers houndin me whenever possible about it. i started a project and it recieved more bad opinions than good, so it was cancelled. i care about the people supporting me, and if enough people want me too, i will try again with the project. but as it is, i doubt anyone wants me to so i dont see any reason to continue it.

I say go for it, i thought it was cool. I'd suggest making a blog out of it rather than a thread.

Roller is by far the most proactive Brawl person in AA. He found Mason Hall (even I was skeptical at first, but it turns out that's still the best venue we've had after all this time) and has TO'd a few tourneys (GSS, Masonfest, etc.) and co-TO'd several others (even the Melee-only Big House). He also points new people in the right direction about Smashfests and occasionally updates the UM Smash Facebook page.

Like Kevin said, I would like to hear what you have done, zyth...

Bull****. Don't try and play this off as a nonchalant question. Do you think we haven't seen the other thread (And part of this one)?

I agree with this. From what I've heard since I joined the community I've looked up to how proactive Roller is in AA and I want to become as proactive with developing GR's scene. And that's a pretty good list of accomplishments he has; I actually wouldn't mind getting tips from Roller on helping develop GR's scene as we slowly gain more people and potential talent.

Meanwhile whenever I see you post zyth, all I see is you complaining about something trite and trivial.

i was honestly asking what he had done since he seems to think my idea is terrible and not worth anything. i wanted to see if he had any notable contributions to back up his high horse why he thought his opinion mattered so much. i didnt know that he was the one who found the mason venue and he has the opportunity to host tournies, i dont.

what things do i post that are trite and trivial? i ask legit questions, answer questions ppl have, and make good conversations with other ppl. its only when ppl put the things i say on blast for no reason is when i say things that might hurt ppl. other than that i fail to see what "trite and trivial" things i do. i tried to do somethin to help out the MI scene a little. and the person u look up to spearheaded the oppression movement against it. then i get all this hate over it because i tried to help? somethin is wrong with you ppl.

You gotta stop trying to find other people in the wrong and just deal, dude.
i dont try to find the wrong in ppl. i go about my business and dont bother ppl. i may say things every now and then that are just troll posts, but who doesnt in MI

Why is stupidity spanning across two separate threads?

Zyth, in all seriousness you would benefit from taking things on the internet less seriously. Roller (in your words), spearheaded the movement against your point based ranking system. While it was a noble effort, I fail to see how an inaccurate point based system provides the community with any sort of tangible benefit. And it was because of that, Roller and others (myself) did not approve. It was simply an extracurricular project. You shouldn't take the seriously when your project wasn't a serious one to begin with.

And while I can understand your frustrations toward Roller, please keep that bull**** out of this thread. I see enough junk in our tournament threads. We can just further derail the Big MI topic if it comes down to it. Lord knows that thread is devoid of intellectual conversation.

Also, I have to point this out. Trying to put down people who actually try at this game is very immature. Everyone has hobbies and things the are passionate about. You have no right to put them down. This community is a friendly, open, relaxed, brotherhood. It will stay that way as long as myself and other veterans watch over it. Take your not so subtle insecurities somewhere else. Your recent outbursts and whatnot are not welcomed. If you have an issue with someone, talk to them about it like a rational adult instead of reverting to insults and whatnot.

Lastly, if you ever intend on becoming better at this game you need to ditch your pessismistic attitude and focus on the good. You always seem to focus on the negative. Think about our 20 dollar MM. You allowed yourself to get rattled because of an SD and it compromised your ability to analyze in Game 3. It is this kind of mindset that is a detriment to competitive play and even real life affairs. Let the stupid stuff go.
