Yoshi isn't a separate franchise from Mario. He may be a SUBfranchise from Mario, but all of his games he stars in are strongly Mario franchise. Even Yoshi Story uses Bowser as the main villain. >_>

It's agreed by all players of SMRPG that the best party in the game is Mario (obviously) Geno & Peach (once you get her strong enough), im not sure what your doing to Geno stat wise, or your game strategies.

Sure, Geno has a relatively low defense (even though it's not that low), he has the highest HP next to Bowser to make up for it.

Not to mention there's more important factors to add in besides how good he was in SMRPG (poll numbers anyone?)

As for Diddy being a Mario character....no, just no. Diddy started in the Donkey Kong Country games, and the only games he has even been with in Mario are spin-offs (Strikers charged, Double Dash, etc.) that doesn't make him a Mario character what-so-ever. Yoshi and Wario are separate universes too, even though they started in Mario games

Besides, even if you disagree with me, it doesn't matter what anyone thinks except Sakurai because he included Diddy Kong (and those others) in Brawl as separate universes, thanks to his clear division of separating the universes by icon.

ANYWAYS....yea i thought you guys knew about that blog post, it was posted by McFox i believe, though i dont know who originally wrote it. But yes, it is true none the less.

EDIT: Yey DDD! this didn't come as a suprise, nor is he one of my most hopeful characters, but it's still nice to see him in Brawl. Just two more high voted (and when i mean high, i mean +4 votes) characters left, Ridley and Geno, my guess is Ridley will be revealed first, then Geno, but i hope im wrong

I say give another week or so when we'll most likely see another newcomer, it'll come down to Ridley or Geno first! (mind you, they're aren't COMPETING for a spot in Brawl, i really dont know why people say that)

Besides, Mario has waaaay better special attacks than anyone (action commands anyone?). Geno again obsoleted. =P

As for healing Geno, usually I end up having to heal him at least twice a round to keep him breathing during tough battles. Hmmm....That means either Mario isn't using his hax special attacks, or GENO isn't using his attacks LOL! Bowser pls.

The sad part is all of you NEED peach to heal...

Don't get me wrong, Peach is awesome when geared correctly (and of course has her rez and group hug...the second probably being the most used skill in the game lol), but it seems none of you want to try a boss without her. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying anyone here is bad (scept a2zomg), but try using a Mario, Geno, Mallow, or Mario, Geno, Bowser combo. With mallow you still have HP Rain (its meh at best but you get the point) and for both you have....items!

Trust me when I say its fun beating Culex without Peach...Smithy too. Yes its completely possible, and a good 80+% of the reason its possible is because of Geno. For boss fights... all you need is Geno Boost your party and you are good to go... seriously. I remember 5 shotting the final fight with Jynx because of Geno Boost...its just that good.

I'll talk more about this later...as I really should head to my CPE390 class now... laters

Bowser's claws animation look similiar to one of his attacks from the game. That's all i can think of.

Well...Mario does have fireballs and jump attack (sorta), but those dont really originate from SMRPG of course.

Bowser, yea he's got the "Klaw", you could say thats from SMRPG, and perhaps his new suplex Smash B move could vaguely be interpreted to be his Throw Glove attack (the one where he throws Mario at enemies), though thats a bit of a stretch

Well personally, i like the Geno and Bowser team, just cause i like a good defensive person, and rely on items to heal instead of PP powers, besides if you time it right, you can keep your healing items

Oh, and i have beaten Culex and Smithy with the Geno and Bowser team, it's really hard, but it's possible.

I agree, its only a matter of time now... I'll admit I had my doubts at first, but with so many top characters from the poll and the journal being confirmed, it seems inevitable.

SMRPG is coming to VC, though it's release date specifically is unknown right now, and Geno is a doll possessed by a star

If you want to start a thread, all you have to do is go to the page where it lists the threads in a room, there's a button at the bottom of the list that says "New Post", click on that to start a new thread.

If your gonna make a thread, please be sure to search for threads that already are discussing a topic you intend to make a topic on

Whoever made that Geno doll was just asking to get sued. Just think of how many childrens lives could be lost due to accidental lazer misfire. And, CHAOSDRAGON88, SMRPG is set to release on the VC sometime this year, so you shouldn't have to wait much longer to finally play it.

Dedede is not so much a villain as a mischief maker and kinda selfish

^Dedede isn't always a villan. In some games (Kirby 64 for instance) he actually helps Kirby. In the games where he is an enemy, its usually becuase he stole some food or something to that extent. He never does anything particularly sinister.

Haha, 11/9/07 is actually right before my birthday also. It would be a pretty swell suprise.

Now, far be it from me to offer suggestions/criticism on the Alliance Wiki page, but I think it would be a wise idea to include a general biography of Geno. Several people that may be interested in 'the cause' may not know who he is or what sort of position he is in. Our goal shouldn't be just to support his entrance into Brawl, but also to broaden his audience and allow for a deeper connection with prospective fans. I know that it is a new creation, so the page may just not be fully updated at the moment. If that's the case, my bad.

On to business! With Dedede fans everywhere checking one of their hopefuls off of their 'In Brawl' lists, there are few characters left to reveal that have scored high on the polls. Now, many could wager that Geno is the 'least important' of these characters, but regardless, I think that Sakurai's inclusion of high-scoring characters is too prominent to ignore. Let's have a look:

Ike - High score
Diddy - High score
Sonic - High score
Dedede - High score
Lucas - High score

It's becoming increasingly/blatantly obvious that Sakurai is referencing these polls fairly closely to create a decidedly awesome roster.

I think that the primary reason you see so many Ridley fans (Ridley for Brawl) is that he's one of, if not, the only character(s) left that scored as high as Geno. Their time will come . . . soon.

When I checked Dojo today and saw the "Warning! Challenger Approaching!" sign, something in me said "THIS IS IT! HE'S BEEN CONFIRMED WHOOOOO!"

No, it wasn't Geno, but I still cheered. A little too loudly. YAY DEDEDE! It's almost definite proof that Sakurai's going by the polls and giving the fans what they want! Hopefully, we'll see Geno and Ridley, and maybe Megaman soon! :3
