You're broke and you can't afford to mm, travel to or enter in tournaments.

So you get a job.

Now, you have money, but no time to smash because you're working.
Some catch, that catch 22.

I've been kinda down and out about smash lately, mostly because I've had no time to play or go to tourney's, but I just went and looked in the pacific west page and noticed that like 90% of the tournaments happening are melee tournaments

Anyway, are there any tournaments happening next week or weeks after?

Well should the tournament happen, the 29th seems like something I can do. As for brawl, definitely not into that kinda thing. I get so upset and depressed every time I play it... I just don't like the game.
