I hate to agree with Sandman, but I just don't want Lucario in Brawl.

We already have Pika and Trainer. Bring back Jiggs and Mewtwo, and that'll be good.

O yhea Yoshi's design and Yoshi's level are from two different games.

Yoshi looks more like his story / Party games self while his level is obviously from Yoshi's island.

And i would accept the_sandman's opinion if his reasons didn't fail so bad.

E.G. Lucario cannot be in because all the PKMN are 1st gen = Meta knight cant be in because he wasn't in the 1st game.

(O yhea and PKMN has no style unlike Zelda or star fox)

Bowser jr is a filler in every mario game, but they should add petey...

He said Black knight is generic and shouldnt be added, hes refering to the name and status, then I say what about Pokemon trainer, isnt HE generic? and isnt an evil king (meaning ashnard) a generic role?

He ignores that and then He says they shouldnt add a character without showing facial expressions, meaning no Black knight, then I say what about samus? he ignores it and then says theres too MANY no expressions characters, which are just GAW and samus... how is that too many?

They shouldnt add bowser jr cause a father shouldnt fight his son, then I go: but mario and bowser can team up to take down peach, ganondorf and zelda can join to take down link, and so on, meaning that doesnt matter it smash...

He also goes that the character added will be from a single game, e.x. Zelda characters will only be TP characters... thus WW link cant get it due to his theory, which is BS... BUT he wants diddy even tough he didnt apepar in jungle beat, meaning his just prefering characters, his theory fails and everything he says is bias...

He then says they shouldnt add megaman cause hes blue, so? theres already too many human characters, and were BOUDN to get more....

He says we should add ryu instead, even tough capcom/megaman has more games, was part of the NES era like ryu, continues to appear in nintendo consoles and is the 2nd most wanted 3rd party, but STILL wants Ryu...

THEN he says they should add Ryu cause there isnt a REAL ninja, I say we dont have ONE FULL ROBOT in the game, but u want ANOTHER ninja?

He then says brawl will be diferent from melee, saying theyre wont be clones, yet says bowser jr would be to identical to bowser and krystal if he has the paintbrush, not only does he fails because what he said in the 1st place, but since he wants another ninja, hes going against his OWN words of brawl being diferent...

I really can't agree with any of this guys reasons. His main theory (you know, the 'from one game' theory) is actually, so far ONLY applicable to Zelda. His reason is basically 'I have an unfounded opinion'. Ridiculous.

Also, in the defence of Bowser Jr., he has had more screen time in both Mario Sunshine and New Super Mario Bros. than Bowser has, and he could have a unique moveset.

Isn't Petey supposed to be a playable character in both Strikers Charged and the new Mario Kart? He's also been in the past few Mario Sports games (Baseball, Strikers, etc.). It seems Nintendo is trying to get a cult following started for him.

Okay, I understand not liking his design (I hate Deoxys' design, which is why I'm glad he's not in), but I've never understood this thing about the fans. Not all fans are created equal—some are obsessive and annoying, but some are just supportive. Why would anyone hold a character's fanbase against it? It's not Lucario's fault that he attracts some immature fans.

Cause he has "dreadlocks" (which he doesn't) you don't think he'll appear? That's a truely awful excuse.

And why would they take out Jiggs or Mewtwo for him? They will have about 6 Pokemon characters, I think that's pretty safe to asume.

it really annoys me when people say some characters shouldnt be in Brawl cuz of how they look. geez its like the people about Marth ("i dont want that dude chick in Brawl, cuz i hate getting my a** tipped")...seriously.

Ryu has been proven to NOT appear in Brawl!

Why you ask? Well someone told me that he has already been in a fighting game! If he was already part of another fighting game, then he won't be needed for Brawl. No point in adding him if another game can represent him right?

Solid Snake has already been in a fighting game.

At the time of SSB Jigglypuff was put into the game because it was one of the most popular pokemon of the RBY generation. In my opinion since Lucario falls under the same requirements that Jigglypuff he'd be great to be included in SSBB. Of course that's not without saying that he doesn't have some competition from likes of Munchlax, however I think Lucario has an edge over Munchlax because he had a feature flim based around him.

Its my opinion and if i think Lucario looks a hot mess i can. I mean there are certain characters that i like that their designs were all not that great but if i look at Lucario's abilities in the pokemon series they look bland and something Mewtwo already has(spheres anyone). I find that i still dont like him. I mean they could make a new moveset for him in Brawl but judging him from the pokemon games i wouldnt want him in at all.

Munchlax would make a perfect rep for the 4th gen and hes probably more popular than Lucario. Though sometimes popularity doesnt mean the character would be in Brawl but it did work for Jigglypuff when she was a character in the first smash bros because of her popularity. Munchlax also is much more uniquely design and was one of the first pokemon revealed. He should be in Brawl not Lucario.

Jiggs will probably wont return, in kirbys profile it says hes the only character from melee to not change much... how much can they possibly change about jiggly? also Sakurai always planned to add Pit, but placed Jiggly instead, according to a rumor I heard, if its true, now tha pits here why keep her?

I see the roster like this:

Pikachu - confirmed
Trainer - confirmed
Mew2 - sakurai wanted him in 64, added him in melee, im sure he'll reddem (sp?) himself and make him WAY better...
Munchlax - mascot of the 4th gen
Lucario - nintendo has shown some type of importance for this character, was one if not THE 1st character they revealed from the 4th gen and has his own movie even tough hes not legendary...

I wouldnt "cry" like darkkry says, since I dont really care about lucario, but like I said before, Ill defend any character that somone bashes like saying "X CHARACTER WONT BE IN BRAWL CAUSE OF MY THEORY!!" Saying that like its already confirmed is which it isnt is what pisses me off, and btw I pretty much took down everything sandman said in the last page...

True enough, I'm not going to deny anything about that Lucario does look a bit similar too Mewtwo, however he does bring a unique Aura based fighting style to the game.

On that note, I see a common argument to lucario is that he brings nothing new to SSBB, I mean that could apply to a many number or characters already in the game. I mean what would Munchlax bring to the table? He just seems like a heavy Jigglypuff.

On other sites as well at this one Lucario has a very big fanbase. Munchlax is the only pokemon that will give Lucario a run for his money and even then Lucario still comes out on top; at least imo.
