I'm incredible, all of you are scrubs.

Just kidding, but ima keep mah scryiiimp CROWN!!!!!!

Bring it on :]

in other news. I really hope that the smash 4 engine will be good. i have pretty good hope for it, but i had hope for brawl -_-
So that kind of goes out the window as far as my hope for how good the game-play will be :[.

But as for summer con im planning on going more than likely, and im going to try to win that too! :D But in all honesty i have a lot
of really hard competition in melee as of lately. I basically have to bet on taylor playing bad to win is how i feel, and then there's Tim of course
who i have trouble beating every second of every match that I play with him. We are basically equal in skill, it just comes down to the day
and who is playing the most consistent on that day. The same goes for Tay, but on much of a lesser scale, it's either I win bearly, or I lose by a
large margin (2-3-4 stock :|) but i'm going to try and win and i wish everyone luck!

We really need a smash tournament that counts in Binary.

8-bits Champion Series 00000001 - 11111111

Shrimp 002 is a pretty good start, but my inner geek needs more.

I hope you all aren't like this with Smash 4. That's part of the problem with this community: it self destructs.

Hey everyone should put this as their Sig to help promote the event. Even if your not planning on going.

All credit to Mura the magnificent!

low hopes for smash 4. especially since it looks slow and its coming out for the handheld as well so i doubt there will be many tactics to speed up gameplay. im guessing its brawl 2.0. maybe without tripping

also if anyone saw the developer direct from sakurai he says he plays it every day during his lunch break, and we know he hates competition so that doesnt make it seem promising to me.

but megaman's short range projectile with hit stun that he can move while using? wtf broken

It looks slow compared to melee with dashing but if you think of melee without dashing it looks faster (maybe just my eyes). I'd say about 2x as fast as brawl you see characters flip half way across the stage in 30 frames/half second it's hard to think that it is slow. One thing odd, however, was when mario caped above the edge on FD and did not grab it afterwards leading me to think that they used a new or older concept for ledges. Attacks/jumps are quick. Samus has a 2-5 frame forward smash LOL wtf in the original @ e3 trailer, it's even faster than her ftilt larger range etc. looks broken atm. The game at least makes brawl look like trash so far, but smash4 could easily become ruined before it's acually released.

Wii fit trainer: ...
Is what I thought at first =/. Watching the trailer her attacks come out smoothly, similar to zss minus projectiles. The work project sora put into her design is well displayed I feel. Even though it is the dumbest character one could add they at least made her movement/moveset appealing. It leaves me excited for new characters.

@Sapphire: Yes. Marill, Gardevior, and Jigglypuff were confirmed Fairy along with Sylveon. Idk why Celfairy hasn't been confirmed as a fairy lol. There'll be a giant media conference dedicated to Pokemon though later tonight.

What's crazy is that I'm actually enjoying Brawl now. There's a bit that I have to discover in this game to help me out for the new one.

I can't really tell anything from the gameplay since they weren't trying to do anything with getting hit.

Bowser looks like he got buffed.

Megaman is gonna be so campy lol. He has a sticky, a charge smash, the leaf shield that he can throw out, and his normal buster. His dair also has a projectile and he has a Sonic like recovery.

more so than wave dashing, decent sized dash dancing is what makes melee much faster (with the fact that characters simply move faster in general). if they use brawl dash mechanics it will still be slow. and it only looks slightly faster than brawl to me. moves do seem to come out faster in general, but brawl had some fast moves as well and it didnt change much

i might have to buy a 3ds for that pokemon. i havent played a pokemon game since like ruby.

Megaman has like a 45%, instant multi-hit dsmash.

Oathkeeper dissected ****ing everything from this reveal.

there are many bitter people complaining about how they know its going to be bad. not that it really matters or anyone cares, but i want to point out that im not with those people. im primarily not getting my hopes up as to not be disappointed, less than actually assuming the game will be brawl 2.0. expecting the worst, and hoping for the best. i also don't care if the game is melee 2.0. despite really really not seeing that in the future, i can't lie that if it was, i wouldnt complain. but i'd rather something in between the games to join the communities. faster movement, less "floatiness" in aerial movement, less lag from moves (l-canceling is great just because you can reduce lag from aerial, but if they took out l-cancels and just reduced lag in general i'd be fine with that), dash dancing back, eliminated auto grabs on recovery, and some other stuff. point is, i don't care if most the tech skill is taken out from melee, but i just want a faster paced game that rewards smart play that isn't mostly camping. just imo

also i see pritch lurking. come to summercon pritch. i play standard now, and i'm semi decent. but i dont play t1

No joke Taylor, was literally 2 seconds away from posting something directed 90% at you, and I refresh my page to see you talking to me. Creepy.

Anyways, sup LA thread. Long time no see.

End of summer I'm almost 100% moving back to New Orleans. Basically just working through the summer season waiting tables here till it starts to slow down and I stop making mad money, then off to LA. Which leads me to a question (and this is mainly directed at you Taylor since I know you've been working in restaurants in the area for a while, but anyone else who knows stuff can chime in too).

I know that the restaurant business starts to pick up after summer, which is convenient since that's when it slows down over here. When do places generally start looking into hiring people for the season though, specifically servers? Currently I'm planning on just ending the season here and sliding into the season there as a way to keep money coming in till I get something better going, but I don't really know what the timing should be on that sort of a move. So when do places generally start trying to staff up?

my posting ability is all ****ed up.

i imagine nola is less dependent on seasons, and more on vacation time. obviously mardigras is crazy, but im sure every other "holiday" that isn't family oriented is busy as well. (Halloween, spring break, ect)

but yeah, many people do go home during the summer after being there for school. i imagine 2 weeks before school starts again is a good time to apply. thats just speaking from general experience, not from exp with nola specifically.

The game isn't out yet. The guys playing in the gameplay and reveal trailers definitely aren't playing like we would play. I don't think it's gonna be Melee, but I also don't believe it will be another Brawl (fingers crossed). It looks faster, but that might just be in my head. I was extremely optimistic before the videos, now I'm less optimistic, but looking forward to it nonetheless. And I will main Wii Fit Girl and go yoga all over everyone's ass. I don't know if any reveal will be as big as Megaman or as WTF as the chick, but I have a feeling they're saving someone awesome for right before the game comes out.

Huge Edit: I take it back. Ran has low hopes for it, and Ran knows everything, so that's how I feel too.
