I didn't know people actually attempted kirby ledge cutter in tournies. I thought it was really easy to hit kirby out of his final cutter. The main thing I'd like to make a comment on is dthrow mixups. I saw twice in the first match dthrow to upsmash both missing at about :25 and 3:45. I also saw dthrow to utilt miss in the second match around 6:25. One thing that I like to do is just regrab them as they land on the ground again and dthrow again. You could've done this all three times. That's not to say you really did anything wrong though, since you can't know they will simply airdodge. It's pretty much a guessing game. Good matches though!

And dthrow->upsmash works for me a lot, probably why I tried it.

Keep in mind this was my first time playing a good Marth offline since November. Heck, it was probably my only time, except for when I 3-stocked a Marth in pools -_-

Kinda hard to learn on the spot against a Marth who's going to place 5th of 92

I should have adapted faster. I could have won that

Check out Dojo's kirby
if you do not know, dojo is a MK main, however at Hobo 16 meta was banned, so dojo played a mix of kirby/diddy. check it out and other matches in hobo in this channel.

what impresses me the most is Dojo maneuvers his character so well, so that he doesn't take unnecessary hits.

It looks really good. He plays really safe and smart.
Just seems like he needs a little more work on the Kirby basics :/ he was making some mistakes that he should know better. Simple things like not pummeling, using Upthrow when Dthrow would be the better choice, stuff like that.

Good use of Bair though, lol >.>

Upthrow is slightly better for setting up aerial combos than dthrow (not a lot, but it can't hurt to mix it in once in a while).

Anyway, my $40 Money match with Lie :D (should've been $50 but he didn't have it)

I am aware I rolled way too much and I made stupid mistakes but I don't think I was playing too good that day (I did much better with my MK in tourney that day than this MM though, but this isn't the place to discuss MK >.>), but no johns. Anyway, the first match I go MK but the rest of the set I go Kirby.

But seriously, it was a pretty good match. I was gonna say "stop smashing so much" but that part at like 2:10 when you Fsmashed four times in a row and he epic failed and got hit by one...good job

If Lucario is above you, GTFO.
After Fthrow->uair, he likes to Dair, see if you can back up and punish it with a Hammer of Fair or something.

Stop rolling so much, and try to predict his rolls more, because he is a Lucario and they love to roll around.

Good job though. You actually got $40 for that? I need to MM some more people XD

I have trouble killing, my f-smashes and hammers are too predictable and I often get scared and miss gimp opporunities. I should discuss more in the rate my Kirby thread xD

Seriously though, I wouldn't use this to show how to play against good Sonics though, because he made a ****-ton of mistakes, and a lot of what you did was punishable [by a good Sonic].

I've always found LostProphe--err, I mean, ICs to be an easier matchup than they're said to be. Just separate them and run after Nana, forget popo (since she can't powershield/dodge/counter you if you get too close and she's desynched). Punish their shields with bairs, use uthrows, upB ledge regrabs, ftilts, and utilts (if you're too close).

Now, for the real reason I wanted to reply here... FINALLY SOME NEW KIRBY VIDS, GEEZ!

we played friendly alot and every match or so i would get 3 stocked or 2 stocked

it is really easier said than done imo idk then again i do practice this matchup alot!

And for every matchup you practice, he does too... He just has the ability to 0-death you if he gets a hang of your game, as where you do not no matter how much practice you do with him.

Sniper, as true as that is, we here at the Kirby boards have recording deficiencies. As such, very few new matches get uploaded, and few of them are worth going into this.

I don't understand. Just remove the vids that link to "This video has been removed by the user" As for recording, I would be happy to do so. You know about my Youtube channel? If people have replays they can send them to me and I would be more than happy to record and upload.

A new Kirby video thread would be a nice idea, though... There are buttloads of videos in this one that lead to nowhere, true.

Still, we'll be needing lots of replays in order to get a good start. : /

yeah I upload replays for my friends all the time. It's not a problem at all. I just need the person's FC and Wii number in order to receive them. That's the only part that is time consuming, lol.
