True. I found it odd because it seems like everyone and their mother is gushing over P:M before its even out.

you can always tell the scrubs from the real trolls, they always bust out the "u mad" when the other person is clearly not mad. improper placement of standard troll lines is also a symptom of herpes.

Awesome tourney yesterday. TH and I mopped up in B+ and P:M (well, until G-Reg pulled out Jiggs anyway ). Fun times. And we even won a set in Melee dubs, which was honestly better than I expected.
Tant's holding a tourney in his house on Monday for the holiday. I'll definitely be playing P:M there all day. Just wanted to give you guys a heads up in case any of you want to come.

Congrats folks, looks like the melee tourney wasn't as successful on the melee side as hoped for but still was a fun event nonetheless. I was curious on g-reg's seeding in B+ though...

Seeding was mostly random except for splitting up our crew as much as possible.

reviving the MD/VA melee scene is a work in progress. It seems even the older melee community has car issues.
Anyway when project M gets an official release I'd like to do a hack tournament, featuring Brawl+, -, Balanced, and Project M. You up for that JCaesar and the legion?

Yeah, definitely. I'd say leave out Balanced Brawl though, for two reasons: it has a much smaller fanbase than any of the other hacks, and the people who play hacks are generally trying to get away from exactly what BBrawl is trying to preserve. If we have doubles and singles and possibly crews for the other three, we don't need to waste our time with the hack no one wants to play.
Voodoo has some great, well-thought-out feedback. I'd love to get him in the P:M backroom personally.

although i had to bring out the gay to take sets off jcaes and thundercawk. (Always thought it was odd that B+ programmers thought Jiggs needed MORE aerial mobility, despite having the most in the game. Let's give kirby characters more jumps while we're at it) sigh, if only i knew how to program the codes, rather than give my input and be shot down in the back room B+ would be amazing!!
I guess I'll have to give M a try, although it feels so foreign to me!!!! at least B+ has this semblance of brawl in it, that i can form a basis on. i think the way they play seems sorta like this.....

I won't disagree. I personally would just rather play a true sequel to Melee than an improved Brawl. Brawl is a lousy base.

I didn't even fsmash him. I grabbed him! twice. bthrow and fthrow. It didn't cost him the game, but it did put him in an unfortunate spot.
