Yup, I know that. There are some battles that it is hard to get stagger if you aren't running two ravagers(which I'm not) so you end up sitting in a battle sequence for a long time. I was progressing along just fine without any grinding but it just isn't fun. The major downside to the game is the battle system. I don't understand why they felt the need to leave the norm so far behind. They got rid of leveling in a traditional sense, towns and shops, and most damaging of all player choice. The game has you running through a hamster tube for over 25 hour before you can even choose your party. It doesn't matter who you fight with because they all get exp in the same amount. Weapon upgrading is kind of a lame system to be honest. Sure the game isn't terrible, but it definitely could have been a lot better.
Anyway, more time for other things like Smash!
probably sticking around to try and hit on my sister some more.

i agree with pretty much everything you said, but i still loved playing it. i felt the story and characters were really good and the graphics were nuts! the battle system is definitely different, but never did i think it was too easy, or crappy, i just had to learn a new system which is like all FFs. i also tended to switch up my team every 30-45 mins or so, to always keep it fresh.

yeah if you mix those drinks together, you might as well call it the Red-Blue Blur, because you'll certainly feel like that after you drink it.
Also we already had an infinite recovery with Yoshi. It was extremely dumb even if stage dependant.

I suppose we could if JCz is fine with it. I personally would be fine with whichever since none of my characters were changed (only the silly boundaries), but it's highly encouraged that all + tourneys use the latest set if only for metagame-developing purposes.

i refuse to support the current metagame of plus as it has taken a direct turn towards the nearest toilet. theres a nice little brawl tourney up in PA i could go to, in fact i had plans to go there until i remembered aftershock being this weekend and i still have no made up my mind.

I'd have no problem using an older set. I just don't know if there's enough interest for a B+ tourney to even be worth holding. I'd be surprised if anyone outside our crew entered. I was pretty much just planning on playing Melee and showing off Project M.

Turnout's probably going to be pretty low regardless. QD says he won't bother coming if + isn't there, and honestly I'm feeling a little downtrodden myself on there being no + (same reason why I didn't want to go to the tourney last weekend, even if **** STAGE BOUNDARIES FOR LIFE). I'll obviously still go because I agreed to Melee teams and just to chill, but I'm gonna be mad sad with no B+ and most likely only 1 set up of P:M that'll be super crowded.
