Right where Route 1 meets Route 32. It's called Savage, just north of Laurel. Do you have your own transportation?

No idea. I despise public transportation.


Magfest dudes: I posted the video I took of Random Encounter on my youtube this morning, haven't posted a link to it anywhere yet, and the hot bassist chick already commented on it. Just wanted to throw that out there :cool:

Any kind of transportation that i can pay that will get me from sova to md in a couple hours.

That's interesting. Savage-Guilford is about 4 hours away from me. I'm assuming it's Savage-Guilford since Laurel is just next to that place.

I thought i'd be 5 hours but I guess that's just like Baltimore, MD.

EDIT: Baltimore, is still like 4 hours and 20 mins. Where the **** was otakon/Pound 5 then lol. I knew i had to drive like 5 hours for something in MD.

So I found out there is a gotobus bus station like 12 mins from me. From that Bus Station to Union Station in Washington, DC is about 3 hours. 4 hours tops.

From Union station to laurel is about 35 mins. to Savage, it's 40 mins.

The bus ticks round trip is 50$. Maybe I could even get a military discount on it LOL.

But essentially, this makes bi-weekly trips to new Legion HQ a lot more likely considering I dont have to use a bunch of gas to travel. I'd only rely on getting picked up from union station or taking transit from union station to around your guys' place.

Actually I'm not gonna be available Thursday. Still got **** to move.

You'll have to be a bit more specific. There's like 8000 Main Streets in MD.

Ah, that's completely understandable. I wanted to get as close as possible via MARC. The address for the station is: 22 Main Street Laurel, MD 20707. Honestly, after 'Mapquesting' the apartment complexes in and nearby Savage-Guilford, I don't mind using the implied distance as a fairly reliable method of exercise; however, because Thursday isn't an option, I'll simply piggyback on everyone else and shoot for Saturday. Unfortunately, MARC trains, to my knowledge at least, do not run on weekends, and the closest stop (for now) happens to be at Greenbelt Metro Station, oddly enough. I'll look into much more efficient routes a bit later, but the aforementioned details were my initial plans.

On a side note, atm, my Falco is as free as the Redskins, sadly enough.

Hah! I actually grew up in Savage! I used to live down the street from Patuxent Middle School, right on Volmerhousen.

And no, I don't have my own transportation. The metro system here in Montgomery County is pretty decent, and I find it easier than shelling out the money for a car.

Yeah, this weekend, housewarming party/smashfest. Everyone should come, and ideally try to coordinate rides and such. Let's say things are starting Saturday around 1pm, and we should be able to provide some housing.

Everyone currently posting in this thread is invited. If you can drive, pm me for the address. If you can't, try to get a ride with someone who is coming, or metro as close as you can and someone will pick you up. From DC, take the Green Line to Greenbelt. From Baltimore, take the light rail to BWI. Most importantly, let us know if/when/how you are coming!

Super likely that I'm coming. Gotta clear a few things first and get some work done.

I would be coming on the early side. Might even have to clear with you if arriving between 12-1 would be OK. Would be staying until sometime during the evening.

I'll be driving from Westminster, taking MD97 then onto MD32. So if anyone is along that route I can do some transportation.

Need me to bring anything? TV, wii, cubes, controllers, etc?
