Was lube required?

On another note - I got mods working on my mac version of Kotor - which would be pretty sweet except I can't find many that are worth the installation effort. Any suggestions?

I dunno, I never really delved into KOTOR mods. KOTOR 2 on the other hand, mods are necessary because it's a buggy unfinished mess.

Can we do this?

Last I remember, the code that makes the handicap the buffer was still in PM, and that match had the falco's at 1 handicap, while the ganon was at 9.

Nah. Because the handicap functions differently in Brawl than in Melee. Handicap in Brawl simply changes your default damage. It doesnt change damage ratio like handicap in Melee does.

I can make fri night through the weekend for sure, but I'm not sure how much time I'll take out for packing/moving prep.

Finally found an iPod video converter that reliably works. Now have all of Big Bang and How I Met Your Mother on my iPod. I am ready for any big trips (just have to get a car charger or something...)

Oh, right, I almost forgot to leave this here:

Glee > BBT > Scrubs > How I Met Your Mother

...and does anyone have any suggestions for RPGs? I have like $30 available if I need to spend money.

i've played all of these. i would endorse:

fire emblem path of radiance + radiant dawn
sacred stones
muramasa
tales of symphonia
pokemon emerald
earthbound
golden sun 1 + 2

and if you're playing with multiple people, I'd lean towards:

tales of vesperia
secret of mana

it'd be nice to have another tales of symphonia fan i can have a nerd-off with.

Yeah I'm gonna pretend you didn't say that first part...

I HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend Xenoblade, though you would either have to wait till April for Gamestop to get it, or acquire it by non-clandestine methods. Nearly everyone I know who has played it agrees it's the best RPG of this console generation. Of course the competition isn't very stiff (FF13 ), but still...

Otherwise, there are a lot of good RPGs on DS. Top 3 imo:
DQ5 (excellent story)
DQ9 (excellent gameplay and multiplayer)
Chrono Trigger (shame on you if you haven't already played this though)

Alright, thanks for the suggestions. I guess I should start with finishing my "no slates, no grinding" run of Sacred Stones, Rekka no ken, and Sealed Sword; then, I can move on to importing Xenoblade (or mess around with USBLoader, whichever I get to doing first); and following that, I'll step out of my comfort zone and buy a DS :awesome:

:urg: my tired posts are always clustered, but yeah, thanks again for the suggestions.

FF7 is overated. I'm not saying it's bad, but poeple fanboy over this to the point of saying that it is better that Ocarina of time which to me is ridiculous. I personally prefer FF6 to FF7.

Me:

FF6 > FF4 > FF5 > FF7> > FF9 > FF3 > FF1 FF2 > FF8 > FF12 > > FF10 > FF10-2 > FF13

I stopped caring about the FF franchise, but unfortunately, played all of them.

I enjoyed 13. Although yeah, the earlier games in the series are definitely better. Also 10-2 was much worse than 13 lol. Actually I didn't like 12 either.

Edit: I'm hoping 13-2 improved on what 13 lacked. (alot).

All of you are dead to me. (hot$ is dead to me twice)

Not a "fanboy." I just recognize a game that shaped the future of its genre.

Besides, all of you are nintendo-nerds. Get off me.

Also, all Zelda games are not RPGs. For gaming nerds, this is an unforgivable offense. (Vigilante!)

About time a good suggestion came around. Played 1, 2, and the one for game gear.

Hmph', nothing wrong with having fun while playing through a game. God knows how many times I had to will myself Through a game just to finish it.
And yeah 7 is good but not the best in the series. No wayyy

Don't worry Bandit, FF7 was the cornerstone of my childhood, and I definitely recognize it as the canvas (er, so to speak) for the games following it in the series -- and RPGs in general.

Then again, I love Glee more than anything currently on TV, and recognize the fact that it's one of the best shows that Fox managed to **** out. Therefore, my opinions are likely not what most people think and are not good to take seriously ^^

Sorry I couldn't stick around from the weekend fellas, good to see you all. Clyde/Seb/Brett/Nate/Oliver combo is a great group

I'm kinda glad I didn't stay this year, my favorite bands other than Metroid Metal aren't there (Powerglove, Minibosses, NESkimos, Smash Brothers)

I did want to spend more time in the game room and the tabletop zone- i could've sold some yugioh cards for sure.

FF7 was not THE game that shaped the genre. It was one of them, but it was not alone. People who think that FF7 changed JRPGs alone are sorely mistaken.
