I've been building a platformer in my head since I was like 6, no lie, so I definitely have some ideas for enemies and levels. And I'd be willing to help out with whatever else I can. Oh and my sister is interested in game design too and has a degree in Graphic Design.

Cool! I am putting together a wiki for the project. Let me know if you want in and what you want your user name to be. I also need an email, you can pm me that if you want.

@JCaesar: Would your sister be interested in some freelance work? I have a few projects on hold because I don't have artwork, and seeing as I will most likely soon have a job, I will be able to pay.

I'll ask her.

Did you already sign me up for the Wiki? I got an email about an account being created for me on MediaWiki yesterday.

<Thunderhorse>: ughhhhh
<Thunderhorse>: cmart what should I do?
<Thunderhorse>: I really want to play Melee
<Thunderhorse>: but I know it will **** up my PM game
<Thunderhorse>: plz help me because I'm so indecisive :(
<cmart>: haha
<cmart>: I would say suck it up
<cmart>: If you switch enough, it'll become common nature
<BadGuy>: I havnet practiced melee at all this whole time
<Thunderhorse>: I hope
<cmart>: I can go PM samus to melee samus interchangably
<Thunderhorse>: eugh, PM just feels really yucky since playing Melee
<cmart>: same with a few other chars
<BadGuy>: I'd rather just go with one game, invest all my energy into one game
<BadGuy>: cant win em all
<Thunderhorse>: like it's just disgusting :(
<BadGuy>: then dont play pm
<BadGuy>: play melee
<Shawn>: lol
<BadGuy>: making a ****ing decision
<Shawn>: lol
<BadGuy>: sounds like youve already made up your mind anyway
<Shawn>: Project M is gonna feel ****ting compared to melee because it's not finished :p
<Shawn>: BadGuy yo
<Thunderhorse>: oh I know
<Shawn>: chill
<BadGuy>: what
<Thunderhorse>: damn BadGuy
<Thunderhorse>: calm down with that hateorade
<BadGuy>: indecisive people piss me off the most
<Shawn>: indecisive?
<Shawn>: you expect him to choose between project m and melee?
<Shawn>: are there any major project m tournaments going on atm?
<BadGuy>: he answered his own question
<Thunderhorse>: not where I'm near
<Shawn>: but him saying he likes melee more doesn't mean he doesn't like project m :p
<Shawn>: yeah TH thats my point
<Shawn>: Melee has a tournament scene right now
<Shawn>: Project M does not
<BadGuy>: so stick with melee
<Shawn>: aside from people with the full build who bring it to melee tournies as side events
<BadGuy>: dont take pm so seriously
<Shawn>: but why
<Shawn>: he can play both
<BadGuy>: there i answered for you
<Shawn>: lol yo
<Shawn>: he can do both
<Thunderhorse>: lmao oh BadGuy
<Shawn>: he doesn't have to decide because you don't like him playing both
<Thunderhorse>: you're really so mad over a decision that doesn't affect you at all?
<BadGuy>: ...i dont care about this conversation anymore

He has no idea how much ammo he's just given me...

In all seriousness, if you want to play both for realz (and I do as well), I highly suggest playing different characters in each game. Wildly different characters if you can. It makes the transition so much easier. Take it from someone who's tried to juggle two different versions of Smash half a dozen times in the last 3 and a half years.

JCz- about getting your music titles onto My Music: Open up your modified info.pac, export miscdata[140] and use it to replace mu_menumain's miscdata[7]
Sorry I have trouble explaining these technical things irl : \

TH - play Marth/Jiggz/Doc in melee. Pretty sure you don't play anyone like those guys, and they're still pretty fast.

I don't really feel like I should have to juggle different characters for the two games due to the fact that the Melee top tiers (Falco, Fox, Marth, Shiek, and Jiggs) are essentially supposed to be very easy to transfer over to from Melee to PM and imo atm it's just...not. True they're not going to be 100% transferable due to the stuff that's kept from Brawl, but we're definitely failing somewhere if I can feel a significant difference in what...one day of playing?

That aside, cmart said that if I switch back and forth consistently, it'll eventually become second nature (and considering how different his example, Samus, is, I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt since Samus should feel WAY more different than Falco at this point lol). At first I think I'm just going to try and see how that plays out, since it could very well just be a mental hurdle on my end. But if I find that after a while that I still can't consistently switch between the two games, then yeah I'll take your advice and find a new character :(.

TH - play Marth/Jiggz/Doc in melee. Pretty sure you don't play anyone like those guys, and they're still pretty fast.
Marth is the only other character in the Melee roster I actually enjoy playing besides Falco. Maybe I'll take my time to learn Pichu/Mewtwo as low tier/troll characters, but in any sort of semi-serious environment, 9 times out of 10 I'll go either Falco or Marth. I have absolutely no passion for either Jiggs or Doc.

If it comes to me having to switch characters between the two games, I'll go for Marth. But really transitioning from PM to Melee Falco seems to be a piece of cake now (just booted it up tonight just to see how playing an entire day's worth of PM would do to my Melee execution, and it felt like I never touched another game :) ). It's just transitioning back to PM that seems to be a problem since I have to make my inputs 10x slower for some unknown and seemingly arbitrary reason...

Heh, I feel just the opposite. I feel like I'm losing inputs when I switch to Melee. P:M feels smoother to me. I know I'm alone in that feeling though.

cmart, training session today? I want Boozer practice. It would be kind of embarrassing if I lost to a guy who is bad.

I don't think you can lose to bad guys. I think to be considered that kind of guy, you'd have to have gone to around 8 tournaments in general, none of which are Project M tournaments. I think the lack of tournament experience will be those kind of guy's undoing.

I think JC's standards are kind of higher than that. I suck at this game.

Chris I'll explain what I mean...sometime within the foreseeable future.

Regardless There was a pretty good 3 for 2 deal going on at Best Buy and I managed to nab myself Alice Madness Returns, MvC3, and Pokemon White (which was the free game). Soooo happy.

Would've liked to get Rock Band 3, but eugh no instrument peripherals.

Good job getting 2nd in P:M... except I only know like, 7 people on that list. Two of them were in my Pound 5 pool.

So I got finished watching all of the Gen2 footage.

Seems like you could use some more Boozer practice ;).

although ironically he plays MUCH safer and campier than cmart ever did

But congrats on the placing

Haha Taiwan is fun when it's not typhooning. I work for 8 hours a day as well. I'm also facing some sort of smash withdrawal, as I really want to knee something, so visiting boards is the closest I can get (barring Dolphin. DKuo is here with me and he used Dolphin.)

good stuff ceez, although i dont recognize most of those names....
The top 20 or so were all really solid players. This was the most competitive P:M tourney to date. The talent level was definitely higher than any of the previous side events we've had at nationals.

He plays very different. I'd say much tighter in everything he does than cmart, his edgeguarding is beast (and super gay) and he doesn't really make mistakes, but he also has a very specific strategy and can be predictable at times because he lacks Melee experience, and he also can't play any other characters at a decent level. I would say he's slightly better than cmart overall, though if I had more time to play him I would probably get a better handle on his habits and the matches wouldn't be as close. That said I still won the significant majority of the ROB vs Bowser matches :p

He seemed pretty clever from what I could see. Definitely not as spazzy as me either. Well, color me impressed that he wasn't all talk at least.
